Covid is just another in a long line of nasty chest diseases.
We learnt to live with all the others.
We did not run around like headless chickens, wetting our beds, hiding behind our sofas and destroying our economies and societies as sacrifices to them.
Why so with Covid?
3. Almost no awareness of the impact on civil rights, as if emergency declaration suspension of rights, house arrest, mass unemployment and business shutdowns is just something democratic governments sometimes do.
1. Evidence was poor that COVID19 was doomsday in the first place.

LOCKDOWN BRO: Sweden did horribly because no lockdowns.
ME: No. Their excess deaths are comparable or better to much of the world and Europe, and better than many of their own winters over the last couple decades.
LOCKDOWN BRO: That's only because Sweden implemented lockdowns.
And none of this is acknowledged when these mitigations are implemented.
If these NPIs were prescriptions drugs, they would be denied approval given the frequency and severity and their known side effects...
Masks obscure our humanity.
Social distancing prohibits human connection.
Closed businesses restrict our ability to provide.
Lack of context & transparency steals our ability to evaluate their necessity.
And lack of an exit strategy extinguishes hope...
Restricted lives— lives where social interaction is forbidden, joy is muted, opportunity is absent—with no future to look forward to are oppressing and depressing.
Even fatalistic.
We cannot thrive under these constraints, regardless of the justification for the constraints...

*GIGO data
*missing context
*redefinitions

*shaming
*outlier anecdotes
*undisclosed conflicts of interest
—all disguised as ‘news’,
are like one massive, horribly deceptive marketing campaign to sell inflated perception of C19 severity to the public.

@charliejmeyers@latimes A case is only a case if a person is sick. Mass testing asymptomatic individuals is harmful to public health. https://t.co/TyvjB282xR …
No esperen riesgo de contagio CERO para salir a vivir.
La naturaleza es sabia y podemos coexistir con las enfermedades.
No le entregues tu libertad a los gobiernos
@drsimonegold This was deliberately screwed up from the start when the term “case” was used instead of positive test. Case implies treatment required. There are a lot of other misleading things going on but that one alone would have helped put all of this in perspective.
WOW: Doctors were FIRED & reprimanded for speaking out against lockdowns, showing how the data was being manipulated for politician gain.
“The science is clear that lockdowns lead to much more non covid morbidity and mortality.”
"When I see you smiling, my mirror neurons for smiling fire up, too...I don’t need to make any inference on what you are feeling, I experience immediately and effortlessly (in a milder form, of course) what you are experiencing."

Tener miedo del covid no es razonable. Es una enfermedad que la mayoría de la gente no contrae y la mayoría de los que la contraen sobreviven. Convivimos normalmente con otras enfermedades más peligrosas. No nos volvamos todos germófobos.
