[Update Oct. 23/24] @Belay_Ma: Drone strikes in various parts of Amhara region have led to significant civilian casualties.

📌Yesterday, drone strikes were reported in Enarj Enawga and Debre Elias woredas of East Gojjam zone which led to extensive casualties and property losses.

📌This morning a drone strike targeted a school in Qeyu Gariya in Raya Kobo killing 6 and injuring others. The school sustained significant damages.

A child was found bleeding next to his mother, Asbera Mohammed Nur, who had been killed by @AbiyAhmedAli regime forces. Asbera, a mother of two from Soten Kebele, North Shewa Zone, was shot on October 10, 2024, around 2:00 pm in Kebele 03, Bereket Wereda.
The child, about two years old, had been separated and injured. Community members arrived to find him bleeding beside his mother’s body.

#Ethiopia, #Oromo Region, #EastShoa Zone, #MojoLume Woreda (District).

An Orthodox Christian priest named Priest Iyesus Ayalew, his wife and three children were horrifically killed in the Oromo Region, East Shoa zone, Lome district. The perpetrators are reported to be agents of an underground group known as Koree Nageenyaa that is covertly managed by the Oromo Prosperity Party led Ethiopian regime forces. This group has been targeting ethnic Amharas in a coordinated manner across the so-called Oromo Region and beyond in Ethiopia.

GPE Note: Koree Nageenyaa (1) is yet another underground group used to wage genocide against #Amharas, alongside, Gachena Sirna (a militia managed by the Oromo Regional officials and is tasked with protecting the Abaa Gadaa and other traditional Oromo governance systems), and other unspecified militia groups. These underground groups are known to coordinate with State forces like the Oromo Special Regional Force, the Ethiopian National Defense Force and the Ethiopia Federal Police as well as resistance groups like the Oromo Liberation Army.
