Feeling rather despondent that after 3 years of living in Norway, being loyal to @SAS and being a Gold member, we are unable to rebook onto an SAS flight operated by City Link that will still fly despite the strike.
.@SAS you sent me this text but we are unable to rebook online, after spending 3 hours on the phone on hold I was told we can’t do anything until you cancel our flight (which only gives 24 hours notice). In the meantime seats on other airlines are filling up fast.
@KeepItRheol @WeAreTektonika Tektonika isn't set up for direct Overleaf submission yet (we need to be an Overleaf "partner" for this).
For initial submission you can just upload the PDF and for revised submissions also upload the .tex, .bib files and anything else required to build your doc.
@Penny_Wieser FFP2 masks were mandatory when inside at #EGU22 and at a guess 90% wore them correctly. So if Goldschmidt properly enforces it, you should be ok!
@TectonicsDave@patton_cascadia @KeepItRheol @WeAreTektonika @overleaf Upon article acceptance we just need the manuscript in an editable format. Some formats make our task a little easier but all end up being typeset the same way so no one will be able to tell once the formatted version is online.
Check out @RLacassin's great thread about @WeAreTektonika!
Tektonika is a Diamond Open Access journal (free to publish, free to read) and we are OPEN for submissions!
Community-led journal τeκτoniκa @WeAreTektonika is now open for submissions

We're developing a fieldwork code of conduct and we want to include a section on ethical geological sampling. I've seen plenty of sample specific guidelines in the past but my google searches just keep sending me to general code of conduct guidelines. Can anyone help?
@a_walker Haha didn't think of checking there 😂
I'm sure we'll share the whole doc wider than just the department once it's finished, so watch this space!
Back in Tromsø after 3 weeks of geology in Europe.
It started with 2 weeks of successful deformation experiments in Orléans and then onto Vienna for the long awaited in person #EGU22. Loved catching up and making new geology friends and learning about their new science 🙌
