Social media, where people hide behind screens and anonymous identities, has made insulting and degrading others a fashion. "You insult my God, I insult yours" and the harsher the words, the cooler we are!

But this has gone too far. No one deserves to die for their words. A human life is far more sacred than anyone's hurt sentiments or a dead person's honour. DOT.

We may disagree, condemn or debate, but we cannot normalise brutality in the name of religion. We are living in the 21st century. No one should lose their life over words or beliefs... no insult and no provocation can justify taking a human life.

This is the time to stand together, beyond religion and differences, and raise our voices against this brutality. Silence is not an option when a human life is at stake.

Take it in writing—just how they are denotifying people’s Jantar Mantar, the Prime Minister will soon denotify democracy in India. This move is a step towards that.
