The Nairobi–Nakuru–Mau Summit Highway is a critical segment of the Northern Corridor and one of Kenya’s most strategic infrastructure projects. Once complete, it will ease mobility to Western Kenya, boost regional trade with our neighbours, and cut the heavy congestion on this vital route.

Today, I chaired the 5th Steering Committee meeting on the project. Together with the Ministry of Roads and Transport and other agencies, we are fast-tracking the processes required to move the project to implementation.

Comprehensive evaluations are ongoing, covering financial structuring, stakeholder engagement, and risk assessment. This careful approach ensures a well-governed PPP that will deliver long-term value to Kenyans. The project is an economic lifeline and a symbol of our commitment to transformational infrastructure under the Kenya Kwanza administration.
