बाबा साहेब डॉ. भीम राव अम्बेडकर जी के शिक्षा और जन-आंदोलन पर विचार:-
डॉ. अम्बेडकर ने शिक्षा को सशक्तिकरण का एक महत्वपूर्ण साधन माना और इसे लगातार बढ़ावा दिया। उन्होंने संस्थाओं की स्थापना की, छात्रवृत्तियों का समर्थन किया और अपने अनुयाइयों से कहा: “शिक्षित बनो, संघर्ष करो और संगठित बनों ” (Educate, Agitate, and Organise)। वे शिक्षा को जागरूकता, क्षमता निर्माण और हाशिए पर रहने वाले समुदायों में नेतृत्व विकसित करने के लिए आवश्यक मानते थे।
हालाँकि, उन्होंने जन-आंदोलनों पर इससे भी अधिक महत्व दिया — सामूहिक कार्रवाई, संगठन और आंदोलन पर — ताकि जातिगत भेदभाव जैसी व्यवस्थागत दमनकारी शक्तियों को चुनौती दी जा सके। उन्होंने शिक्षा को आवश्यक तो माना, लेकिन इसे अकेले पर्याप्त नहीं समझा जब तक कि व्यापक जन-जागरण और संगठन के साथ न जोड़ा जाए।
वे कुछ सहयोगियों में उस प्रवृत्ति को सीधे संबोधित करते हैं जिसमें जन-आंदोलन को कम करके आँका जाता है और केवल शिक्षा पर संकीर्ण रूप से ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाता है। शिक्षा और जन-आंदोलन को दी जाने वाली सापेक्षिक महत्वता पर उनके अवलोकन उल्लेखनीय हैं।

एक पत्र के जवाब में उन्होंने अपनी स्थिति स्पष्ट करते हुए लिखा:
“मैंने तुममें और तुम्हारे मित्रों में जन-आंदोलन को कम करके आँकने की प्रवृत्ति देखी है। मैं इस दृष्टिकोण से कभी सहमत नहीं हो सकता। जबकि मैं शिक्षा के महत्व को कम नहीं आँकता, मैं जन-आंदोलन को पूर्ण महत्व (absolute importance) देता हूँ।
दूसरे, मैं शिक्षा के लिए कोई व्यक्तिगत जिम्मेदारी नहीं ले सकता। शुरुआत में मैंने ऐसी जिम्मेदारी ली थी, लेकिन अब मेरा विचार है कि ऐसी जिम्मेदारी उचित रूप से उस व्यक्ति की नहीं हो सकती जिसकी जिम्मेदारी पूरे प्रांत की, यदि पूरे भारत की और समुदाय के सामान्य हितों की हो, न कि व्यक्तिगत हित जैसे शिक्षा की।
इन बातों के साथ तुम अपनी शैक्षिक गतिविधियों में मेरे समर्थन पर भरोसा कर सकते हो।”
