We now properly welcomed our visitor Prof Fazal Adnan from Pakistan to work on genomic surveillance of zoonotic events from farm animals; we look forward to welcoming two more @helmholtz_en#hida fellows @helmholtz_ai@HelmholtzMunich soon. Here some of our group members and +1s.
Very happy to share my first publication as a postdoctoral researcher at @LaraUrban42 lab. A review about the use of @nanopore to tackle #OneHealth challenges or about why we are doing what we do. 🥳😍
Twitter mind hive...what do you all think are the largest surprises resulting from molecular phylogenetics? How has molecular data upended the architecture of the Tree of Life. I'll offer Woese et al. (1990) demonstration that prokaryotes are paraphyletic. Let's make a list!
We are recruiting #postdoc in computational biology to study gene regulation in brain development, evolution and disease using multimodal single-cell epigenomics and deep learning (@ERC_Research funded). Join us @PioneerCampus in the vibrant city of Munich https://t.co/s2aUqddVzO
#6 A brief history of CRISPR | Andrés Carbonell Podcast https://t.co/Zi411EZqin via @YouTube
Andres does a wonderful job touching each of the stories involved with the origins of Crispr and brings good context to them.
When you ask a Linux user, they usually give you simple solutions and eventually the kitchen sink.

So close, but missed it!
I thought blockchains were about public ledgers, why keep them private!? what happens when the chain is replicated and you know that the data is unadulterated?
I'm for genomes as NFTs with smart contracts.
@ChitLio@ZakariaLouadi I also couldn't have done it without the support of @itisalist and Co-first author @OlgaTsoy9. Special thanks to @KacprowskiTim, @janbaumbach and the Sys_CARE team and so many people who supported us on this journey.
Working with Alternative Splicing(AS), but not sure which tools are state of the art today? DICAST will help you understand which tools are right for your organism, and the AS events you care most about.

This is the first project from my PhD that's getting published. I'm incredibly lucky to work with some incredibly talented friends such as The DICAST team: Tim F, Fanny R, Alexander D, Johannes K, and @ChitLio@ZakariaLouadi.
Congratulations Zakaria!
NEASE is functional enrichment, based on edges instead of nodes. Use this package, if you're looking at transcript level functional enrichment with databases that host only gene level information.

@sebatlab@strnr Is this a victory for GWAS or study of british populations? I don't work in GWAS, so definitely a more naive perspective. But I'm not sure if i find this encouraging.
