Human beings have changed drastically in the last 30-40 years, both biologically and socially. The time gap from puberty to first sex and first sex to first kid has drastically changed.
1. Earlier, this gap was very less. 30-40 years ago, puberty used to set in 16-18 years of age, first sex from 18-24 and first kid from 20-25 years of age.
2. Today, puberty sets at 12-14 years, first sex at 16-20 years and first kid from 28-35 years of age.
3. It has great implications of relationships and hence, it changes dating industry completely.
4. Earlier, the goal post was marriage.
5. Today, marriage is the final destination but there are many goal posts before that.
6. First goal post is knowing somebody via friendship.
7. Second goal post is adding data to friendship.
8. Third goal is adding intimacy compatibility to the same.
9. Fourth goal is long-term partner compatibility to the same.
10. Final goal is marriage if all the earlier goal posts are achieved with success.
11. This observation may not be 100% data compatible but from an intentional point of view, it is accurate.
12. Tinder and Bumble captured a small part of this shift with rise of hook-up culture a decade back.
13. Today, people are looking for longish commitments.
14. They may not be ready for marriage but some sort of basic commitment is what they aspire for.
15. Don't equate this commitment with marriage intention.
16. This basic commitment is meant to achieve all the goal posts mentioned above.
17. So, today's dating journey is not for jumping directly into marriage rather it is for a longish courtship period.
18. That is what we @dropdnetwork have achieved.
19. First achieve friendship, then observe and compare your friends, then pick one friend for long-term courtship and do ROCCA with the same.
20. If courtship succeeds, get married.
21. If courtship fails, repeat the cycle.
22. This may not look ideal but that is what reality of dating appears like today.

Is today's marriage the true avatar of Matrimony?
1. The clear answer is no.
2. The Latin meaning of "matrimony" is mother-making.
3. Basically, it means that matrimony is transformation of a single woman into caring institution that safeguards the future of society.
4. Naturally, such a society would ensure that women are respected and her kids are taken care by the collective contribution of the members of society/tribe/village.
5. What you call marriage today is not what matrimony was designed for.
6. Today, a woman who turns mother is generally alone as the nuclear family is the societal norm. Today's mother does not get huge care support from the society.
7. Today, a lot of women delay pregnancy to the extent of unintended childless status and a lot of married women don't go for motherhood too.
8. So, basically both society and the women don't serve the true intended goal of matrimony.
9. When bigger goals vanish from the society, the people start fighting for series of claims and counter-claims. This is what happens today between man and woman.
10. If matrimony is dead in its true form, how marriage can stay sacred forever?
11. The result is that GenZ and millennials don't want to get married and if they do so, they live a troublesome marital life.
12. How to solve this huge civilizational crisis?
13. There are five big integrated solutions for this.
a) Bring grandmothers back into heart of family. What grannies can do, nannies cannot do. It means that one should think beyond nuclear family.
b) Bring village culture/neighborhood culture back into human life. It means that one should live where community feeling is very high.
c) Bring down the cost of schooling down by a huge margin. It means that home-schooling should be made popular.
d) If a couple wants to get married, ask both of them to stay in a floating marriage for six months at least. If they cannot survive together for 6 months, how can they live together for six decades?
e) All women with kids should be given life-time employment with rental housing rights.
14. Crypto should understand that money is nothing but frozen institutions plus balance-sheet.
15. The future of money is floating institutions plus blockchains.
16. So, crypto is basically an institution building culture.
17. For the last 7 years, I have spent my life into building unique design solutions for emerging social behaviour focusing on following things:
a) How to reduce the burden of over expectations in a marriage?
b) How to solve the paradox "Jump into marriage or Jump into bed" for a dating couple?
c) How to bring society back into dating so that people stop misbehaving with one another?
d) How to convert the attention economy into relationship economy?
18. I am about to make the results of my 7-year long journey public in phases beginning from this month onwards.
19. After testing for over a year and with 31,000+ users now, they have made me realize that I am on a right path.
