Indigenous peoples play an essential role in safeguarding nature – but are often denied involvement in key decisions.
☝️ It’s vital we help uphold their rights, respect their knowledge and appropriately support them to preserve their territories of life.
Once again a short virtual stop to relax, watch and think. I wish you all a blessed rest of the day with joy, kindness and respect for all of us and for nature.❤️💚🌱🌲🌳🌿☘️🍀💚

This is how we all need to see the world we live in.
Even if we are not the ones who created the mess, we need to take initiative in cleaning it up.
Why? Because everything and everyone is connected.

If we continue to lose biodiversity, the 🌏’s most vulnerable people will not be able to adapt to #ClimateChange nor sustainably produce food.
Development investments must take nature into account.
Water pollution due to poor water quality impacts public health, food security, biodiversity and other ecosystem services. Urgent action is needed to assess where water quality is inadequate or under threat.

Soil erosion inhibits our ability to grow nutritious food as it decreases the nutrients available to crops.
We can't underestimate this threat to our food security!
"We rely on oxygen to live, we rely on water to drink, we rely on good food to survive.
But all those very precious assets are often undervalued in economic assessment & frequently not included at all."
