@garrett_brinton @BillHanage Lifestyle factors do play a role in quality of care, as do demographics (look at the maternal mortality rates among Black women vs. white). Those lifestyle choices aren't acutely depleting a system beyond its breaking point. Not saying to deny care altogether, simply tier it.

@BillHanage Here is a legitimate question: Can hospitals not simply ration care to those who refuse vaccination? Why are we wasting precious resources (providers' energy, beds, oxygen, monoclonal antibodies) to those who essentially spit in the faces of those upholding the social contract?

My provider, Premera, will not cover tests unless specifically ordered by a physician. "Home test kits will not be covered if used for non-diagnostic purposes (e.g., travel, return to work, etc."

@hnh1957 @michaelmina_lab Good point but it would be interesting to know what the other half of the picture looks like. Amazing that we're two full years isn't this and can't manage to figure this out. Huge failure of our for-profit health system.
