I absolutely feel this. Teaching is not what it was as a profession all these years later. I left it behind at Christmas but I will always remember what it was, and what we could have had, so fondly. 💕
I’m incredibly proud of the work I, and many others, have done to move our schools and colleges forward in the way we care for staff after pregnancy loss @NeuNewcastle @NEUnorthern#babyloss#1in4

Thank you to the lovely @LNER staff who made Charlie’s first train journey so lovely yesterday. Travelling with a 3 year old was made so much easier by the kindness of the staff 💕
If the government wants truly to make a difference it will over invest in 0-5 year provision rather than under invest. Sure Start was levelling up. What I’d do for a government with a long term vision https://t.co/ynk5YiqJDs
'Sure Start Centres gave families the services they need and deserve, enabling them to give their children the best start in life...
Unfortunately, such valuable support has been decimated, leaving families in desperate need of support'

In a room packed full of amazing women from the @NEUnion in the Northern Region. It’s fantastic to be part of the Women’s Conference this weekend. @NEUWomen
We believe Government will say teachers should get just a 1-2% pay rise this year.
If you’re a teacher in a school or sixth form in England or Wales, make sure you vote - enough is enough!

Our reducing workload; winning on pay event is in full swing. We’re now discussing the removal of PRP and the reinstatement of the 23 tasks teachers shouldn’t do; a welcome win by education unions. @amyk21 training reps to use the reducing workload resources.

This is what every school, every teacher needs to do off the back of the results of the inquest yesterday. Bin the banners, don’t give them the power. Sign the petition here - https://t.co/yweVkE1tK0

@MrC_PrimaryEdu I understand your frustration, reps are all educators too & being put through the inspection process. I’ll add the link to where we’re up to with the Ofsted campaign but please do let me know what’s working with your district & what else you want to see.

@MrC_PrimaryEdu We passed a unanimous motion on this at conference this year. We have also commissioned the Beyond Ofsted research and are campaigning hard on this. The NEU stands by educators and wants rid of Ofsted and it’s toxic culture.
Ofsted will have five lawyers paid for by the taxpayer at Ruth Perry’s inquest. Her family have had legal aid declined- crowdfunding to make it fairer. Coroners have cited Ofsted as factor in deaths of 10 teachers already - surely this is a turning point. https://t.co/G1geuGdW0c
