@alicespake Another thing to note is if you’ve upgraded to windows 10 low end/older machines can’t cope with it so you’d need a newer higher spec model to run the OS alone

@alicespake I work in B2B IT and we always say laptops have a lifespan of 3 years. You can always sell it to a refurb place who could upgrade the RAM etc and sell it on?
