My new Vision Pro app lets you switch between apps on your Mac… just by touching your desk.
Bringing choclift to visionOS changed how I think about using a Mac in spatial computing. It’s not just about having a massive display – it opens up entirely new productivity workflows.
Best part: if you lock it to your desk, it’s always there when you use Mac Virtual Display – even after restarting the device.
@Akshayentricity@Papoy_0Y@6amiji Depends on regional variations of lore. In most stories, her parents and Indra dissuade her from marrying Shiva, leading to the immolation of Kamadeva and her subsequent penance and austerity impresses Shiva. I get your point but OP is also right about people acting too mighty.
@Akshayentricity@Papoy_0Y@6amiji Neither of the examples you’ve mentioned are arranged marriages. Sati married Shiva against Daksha’s wishes and was later reborn as Parvati. Princesses like Sita and Draupadi had the authority to choose their own husbands through a Swayamvar, which was customary and a choice.
Excited to share that our Comment paper with @jemilyr on the usefulness (or not) of model organisms in evolutionary morphology was published yesterday! #evolution#morphology#biomechanics
Thanks to my supervisors @jemilyr, @BeekGeak, and John Cunningham for being patient with me in getting this out, and to my co-authors Sandra Tavares, Ismar de Souza Carvalho, Fabiano Iori and Fresia Ricardi-Branco.
Many thanks to @PaleoVidal for the paleo art

Day 16 of #Croctober
For today lets all just take a moment to appreciate the treasure trove that is Miocene South America, a true hotspot of croc evolution thanks to its warm climate and expansive wetlands. Of particular note is the Urumaco Fm. of Venezuela

I'm recruiting a PhD student to join the lab at @GeorgiaTech in Fall 2026! Broad taxonomic and topical freedom under the umbrella of vertebrate joint form and function. Information here: https://t.co/9OcmKYrOLe – please share 🦴🩻
MyoGeneratorRemix is a reimplementation of MyoGenerator (Herbst et al., 2022), a tool for muscle reconstruction and parameter estimation—essential for downstream analyses like FEA.
Our version brings major upgrades, including full compatibility with Blender 4.5.2.
Want to do a PhD on White Sharks using high-powered imaging to analyse form and function of their teeth and jaws? 🦈🦷🦴
You will work with me and the dream team, @HuveneersSSEG, @Meyer_Sci, @WeisbeckerLab
& #SARDI & @ANSTO at Flinders University.

@0CoffeeBlack0@AppleTV But why would you want one? I get the nostalgia factor of holding on to dvds. But in terms of resolution and sound, Apple TV and iTunes in general have much better bit rate and sound than most competitors as is.
@MKBHD@justabdulraouf *only in light mode. That’s what these articles don’t mention. It’s still the same in dark mode and I prefer they don’t frost it. It is quite readable.
