Chilas isn't the only location in Gilgit-Baltistan , the neighbourin area from Diamar district to Hunza valley has revealed many rocks with petroglyphs and inscriptions related to Shiva dating to the Kushana-gupta transition

One such inscription even mention Mahesvara-linga
