@217Showers The Tolono Fire Protection District is in charge of monthly testing and maintenance of the outdoor warning sirens, not they mayor's office.
@JonTheStormGuy Depends on the department. I joined mine with nothing. They paid for my EMR and are now paying for my EMT-B course.
Also get to do storm spotting and EMA stuff.
@andylapteff@d_feldman Depends on the metric.
If the metric is: "High quality Netflix works without buffering" then sure.
If the metric is: "Transferring 1TB of backups to NAS/offsite nightly" then probably not.
@TracketPacer IT, especially networking, is a trade. You can learn everything you need to know to get an entry level job with a few months of reading blogs, virtual-labbing, and/or hands-on training.
Once you get your foot in the door, you can work your way up to sr or architect, no problem.
@TracketPacer As someone who has been in IT (Networking/Security) for 20+ years, I think this just highlights how easy this stuff is. People like to gatekeep and make it sound like you need a HUGE background in computers to do networking or any form of IT at a high level, but you don't.
@dcrainmakerblog @Joe_Eschbach @gplama Consider that your right leg is probably contributing (upstroke) to your left leg's downstroke. This would lead the Quarq to assume a left side dominance.
Whereas the pedals are measuring per leg and attributing the right leg's power correctly.
