@gaydriver@LeanneHPatrick@student_zoe Well your previous tweet implied that somehow students are in one side and universities are on the other. I was was just pointing out that the discourse that somehow educators are against students having to pay tuition fees, is incorrect. We frequently fight for students.
@gaydriver@LeanneHPatrick@student_zoe Sure. Ask any nurse educator if they think that scrapping the bursary and making students pay tuition fees was a good idea. You won't find many, trust me. We are actually on your side, but I understand that might not fit the popular narrative.
@LeanneHPatrick@student_zoe You are not paying for the privilege. You will still get the qualification that you are paying for.
Every student that I have spoken to is really up for the challenge.
@LeanneHPatrick@student_zoe The way that I understand it, if students are being asked to work as a part of the team, they would do so under the protection of the employer (trust). Who would have responsibility to ensure safety.
As for the rest of it, well this is an exceptional circumstance...
Thank you so much to Dr Bharat Pankhania for an interesting, apposite and thought provoking presentation. Lots to think about and to challenge future behaviour @Doctorshaib@PUNC14@Valda_Harding @DannyClarkeESoN @traceyecassidy
