Something very, very worrying is happening at BBC Scotland beyond the usual bias. This morning's Radio Scotland Breakfast is acting like a Burnham media machine pushing a 'Mayor's for Scotland' line.

Why is this worrying? Scotland voted against this in May. BBC Scotland is effectively ignoring the democratic process, bypassing Holyrood and promoting policies and ideas the Scottish electorate has already rejected.

At the centre of the propaganda this morning was Fiona Stalker and David Wallace Lockhart. The latter has filmed an item that includes Labour MSP Paul Sweeney and promotes the demand for a Glasgow mayor. Stalker had a set-piece interview with a Labour MP who also demanded a Mayor for Glasgow.

This isn't news. This is quite literally an attempt at bypassing the Scottish electorate and the Scottish parliament by trying to foist English policies onto Scotland.

Here's an example of how BBC Scotland manipulates stories to satisfy a political agenda.

The top story on BritNat Breakfast this morning was about a rent increase on a Glasgow drug charity. The body that increased the rent was City Property which is an arms length organisation and legally separate from the council.

Presenter Laura Maciver begins manipulating the story by replacing the organisation name 'City Property' with the phrase 'Glasgow City Council owned landlord'. The intention of using this mangled phrase is to make the *council* the focus of the story instead of City Property.

The is confirmed when Lisa Summers does the same. Refusing to use the name of the actual organisation and instead uses the phrase 'council owned landlord'.

The story is being politicised. The politicisation increases when Lisa Summers cites Scotland's high drug related death rate. She then introduces the Scottish Govt into the story. Note, Summers doesn't mention that the death rate is falling.

A rent increase by City Property is now *not* about the actual organisation that made the decision but the SNP run council, the Scottish Govt and drug deaths. Laura Maciver ends the item citing a request to the council for comment.

City Property is a completely separate legal entity from the council. Yes, it is owned by the council having been set up by the previous Labour administration, but It, and it alone made the decision to increase the rent. BBC Scotland has manipulated and politicised the story.

Not convinced? Network Rail is a separate legal entity owned by the UK Govt. When was the last time you heard a BBC reporter describe it as the 'UK Govt owned railway operator' after rail disasters or breakdowns? Never. It's always just Network Rail.

Contrary to popular belief, the RAF does have aerial firefighting capability. The problem is that the helicopters are based in Cyprus so can't assist with UK wildfires. This is why BBC Scotland reporters were careful to say equipment "wasn't available" and not "didn't exist".

BBC Scotland is dishonest. Nothing it reports can be trusted or taken at face value. This needs to be addressed.

Worth reminding folk that May's Holyrood elections proved that BBC Scotland no longer has the influence it once had. It platformed every smear against the SNP and spearheaded some itself, but the electorate still gave the SNP a landslide. It's dying, but still has to be exposed.
