Doesn't really work like that Dave. It's not 'bid slapped in' these days, it's basically all done through WhatsApp, enquiries - by the time it gets to actual bid in most cases the deal is done.

If you're bidding when you don't know if a player wants to come (which happened with Newcastle a few times last summer) it's generally not a good sign

@PercyArmsDisco NUFC as a club shouldn't exist as a club to feed bigger clubs our best players however I can't begrudge any player that chooses a club like Barca as their next step. It shouldn't be our aim but if we are giving players a pathway to that level of club it's not negative for us.
