@wendoverpro Well done to you and all your team for The Getaway. Truly brilliant concept amazingly well executed, and an absolute blast to watch. @jennirmcl93 and I have loved following it the last few weeks.
Of everything I've watched, this has definitely been the most recent!
@StevenBridges Thanks for stopping to say hi when @jennirmcl93 and I saw you in the street there. Really cool to meet you. Didn't want to get in your way. Hope you have a nice evening! π
P.s. not even sure I mentioned we've been following your videos for years
@8balltiger@DaveGorman Might be worth going through the NHS then. Ones that cost an individual Β£1000s privately can cost the healthcare system less than Β£100
@smileyplankton@jimalkhalili Except there is.
I think it's 1. Plug it into a Casio as written and you'll get 1.
But, plug it into a Texas Instruments calculator as written and you'll get 16.
It depends on whether you consider *implicit* multiplication (the 2 stuck to the bracket) as having priority or not.
@ClaudiuDP@jimalkhalili If I say to you "I've got a friend with a wooden leg named 'Smith,'" I could be talking about the friend or the leg. It's deliberately ambiguous. It's not possible to answer without context.
This is the maths version of that, and it just makes maths look over-complicated.
@LordNoodles1988 @Kayan0Connor @DanielKitty@smartereveryday I'd be interested in your evidence to back up that claim. Firstly, because there *are* plenty of historical great scientists whose faith drove their curiosity. Secondly, because a lot of science was funded by Christian (at the time) universities.
@DanielKitty@ThreepE0@smartereveryday Your suggestion is that one cannot be a scientist and a Christian. ThreepEO pointed out that there are plenty of counterexamples. That's not a logical fallacy; it's a logical proof.
At best, you've committed the fallacy fallacy.
@standupmaths Thought you'd like this as a fan of both security tags and ineffective locks.
I got home and realised my shoe still had this on. I'm ashamed that it took me more than ones of seconds to figure out the solution...
@colincameron_ That's what I mean though, I don't reuse letters once they've been discounted either. But I don't force myself to use letters that I know are in it
@colincameron_ The only cheating is something that goes against the rules of the game. But who said anything about reusing black letters? I just have a couple of starters that don't share any letters
