As Thursday turns to Friday, our officers continue to work shoulder-to-shoulder with local, state, federal and fire partners to protect St. Paul.
More than 170 businesses damaged or looted. Dozens of fires. Thankfully, no reports of serious injuries. Calm on the horizon.
The protesters appear to have overrun the third precinct in Minneapolis. After the fence went down, officers loaded into squads and seemed to abandon the building. Protesters are now warning each other that the National Guard is on its way.
The crowd split into two groups. One is still in front of the precinct, while the other is watching the pawn shop fire. The fire crowd is chanting, “No justice, no peace! Prosecute the police!”
