My point of view is simple.
To the degree that self custody is likely always going to be complex, difficult and require a significant knowledge base we should be open and honest about that.
What we shouldn’t be doing is going around screeching about our dice rolls, our clear case or our favorite collaborative custody provider being the perfect solution to xyz self custody attack vector.
There are trade offs for every custody solution.
It’s best we reset the culture a bit by discussing them openly and honestly without coloring them with ideology.
If everyone is having too much fun screeching about their thing being the best though than please be my guest…
SpaceX is building Terafab at full speed. Program launched in March, equipment orders placed by April, and concrete is already being poured on site. (1/5)🧵
A revolutionary asset is not automatically a good investment at any price. Ultimately, returns are determined not only by the quality of the asset, but also by the price you pay for it.
My latest memo discusses recent attempts to rein in long-dated government bond yields and why the only sustainable solution is responding to the underlying factors pushing interest rates up, even if politically uncomfortable.

Agents can be AI, but agency is human. It is every individual’s responsibility to empower our own agency, with the help of tools. But the North Star should always remain human centered.
They were building in stealth for 2 years, I was building in stealth for 2 hours…
Happy to open source Qwen-2.5-1B-RLCD, 5x faster on-device inference for JSON workloads that need to be type-safe.
⚡️Demo below on a M4 MacBook⚡️
every LLM has the ability to efficiently batch inference every key of a JSON at the same time and generate probabilities from a set of possible categories. No new training required, but it’s easy to optimize if you need!
On hugging face now!
Palantir CEO Alex Karp on what model companies are really asking for when they call for regulation and why they will be nationalized.
“It's a weird twist. They're asking for societal regulation to get out of the first line of defense, which is if you build a technology that can destroy 10% of the of the world, that has civil and criminal liability attached to it.”
“The only way to deal with this kind of liability is to go to the government and say nationalize us, please.”
"Another problem we have is seemingly everyone who understands this is on some payroll."
Jensen Huang: “Safety is paramount. In a lot of ways, it’s job one. However, safety is an engineering problem... If we’re not confident about the safety of the products — like all companies, like you and I, all the companies here — if you build a product or a service and you’re not confident in its functionality, capability, or safety, then don’t release it.
That’s a very obvious thing to do. You pace yourself until you are confident you’re releasing something that the market would appreciate. The market forces are already there. We don’t need any new laws. We don’t need new regulations.”
