I am uncomfortable growing Tesla to be a leader in AI & robotics without having ~25% voting control. Enough to be influential, but not so much that I can’t be overturned.

Unless that is the case, I would prefer to build products outside of Tesla. You don’t seem to understand that Tesla is not one startup, but a dozen. Simply look at the delta between what Tesla does and GM.

As for stock ownership itself being enough motivation, Fidelity and other own similar stakes to me. Why don’t they show up for work?

He’s said it himself why. It’s about having enough control to steer what will be one of if not the most important company operating within the physical world. Having enough control to ensure that he has adequate influence over the hundreds of millions of bots that will be operational. And then there’s also collecting resources to build a sustainable civilisation on Mars — I think all his goals can be viewed from this lens Puru.

I’ve really tried to like Grok. And it some areas where I need to maximise objectivity and truth because I don’t have enough knowledge to even discern hallucinations / errors, Grok is better.

But I can’t get away from ChatGPT for bulk use because its memory is seemingly superior. Every week, I feel it gets to know me better. Whereas I feel Grok isn’t doing this. To test this, I just did the classic “tell me everything you know about me” and came to conclusion ChatGPT has way more context about me (and therefore I think is contributing to giving me better responses/content most of the time vs Grok) — Grok was only able to tell me exactly what I’ve told it in the custom instructions input.

I’m really curious as to why this is not being discussed more, and if other users are experiencing what I am.

On the business model being broken, have you watched PaperBag’s videos? I think they explain the other side of this very well.

I’ve been following Lemonade since IPO and I was cautious at first (besides from the valuation back then) because Daniel is just so eloquently spoken that it sort of instinctively made me extra weary (like I didn’t want to get “sold” something) and wanted to be as objective as possible. Obviously I’ve since concluded management act with genuine intent and are excellent executors.

Since you’ve said LMND management are fraudsters, I’ve watched Jcal’s interview with Trevor Milton again, and yeah this is what I believe a fraudster looks, feels and sounds like through and through. I think you’re mistaken on Daniel and Shai.

Strong founder-led companies attract that kind of following (and the best talent). They earn what seems like a cult following, for good reason. Look at HOOD and NVDA as further examples. Anduril will be the same.

Rather than dismissing it as cult like, I think there’s every reason to admire and respect founders who have built billion-dollar companies from the ground up with long term visions.
