@chrislarochelle @FlySwoop The sunwing flight cancelled Wed along with ours at the same time…they bussed passengers to a resort and back Wed/Thurs. All we got was an email on next avail flight 🤣. It’s more cost efficient to fly with non budget airline IMO when you add up extras & delay/cancellations

Good morning Swoopy Swoop @FlySwoop! Are we going to Toronto from Punta Cana this morning? Airport has us leaving on two different flight numbers which aren’t ours, at two different gates, no one is at the counter (we’ve all been here an hour now) where art thou?

@chrislarochelle @FlySwoop They did show up yesterday morning after 7:30 am (flight at 9 am). We ended up taking off around 9:30sh so we made it home. Ppl with connecting flights didn’t fare so well. Not those who stayed at airport. No vouchers, water, food or anything 🤷‍♀️

Flight is “supposed” to leave in 1.5 hours. Still no one at check in. A guy is trying to collect WhatsApp numbers for “updates on compensation”. I feel like he’s a pro at this. I’ll take another day in the sun for comp 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

@JimAdams105 @FlySwoop Every email said due to IT issues then about an hour ago they sent an email saying they got it wrong, and it’s weather related, not IT 🤦‍♀️

@JimAdams105 @FlySwoop Thank you! At the airport they said we would receive an email with 3 hotel options for the night. Never got it, no one did, so a lot of us left and booked another resort for the night and hopped in cabs.

@deece89 @jennyleeshee I flew in and out of CDG in Paris in July and it was a 3 hour wait to enter and a 7 hour wait to get through security to come home. LGA in NYC same thing in August. Had delays in Halifax and Charlottetown over the summer. Terminal 3 at Pearson has been the smoothest - for me

@LoreKeating I just heard from one cousin who’s working a double shift in the ER in Charlottetown- staff can’t in or out so no rotation and storm still going strong. It’s going to be a long day for many. Hope your family is safe!
