@PieterLValk@TDisputations Failure to make necessary distinctions is either malicious or incompetent. By the way, masturbation is also worse than straight fornication for the same reason.
@88mph121@Joeinblack At the very least it’s scandalous. Giving the world the impression, especially as a public figure, that you are living with another man carnally is extremely scandalous, and in this case it’s hard to imagine an innocent fraternal interpretation being reasonable
I never suggested it was my story. It’s a very common story though. Mine was more like:
1. I was Catholic
2. I held an opinion or had an attachment to a habitual sin that the church forbids, and out of pride and lack of obedience, and with no regard to the veracity of the Church’s claims
3. I became an atheist
4. I lived a debaucherous life and found myself in a living hell
5. Jesus reached out a touched me
6. I became “Christian” in a vague sense
7. Through study, prayer, and research repented and rejoined the true Church
8. I am Catholic again
@PotRoast1975@micky45089@saintathanasia I don’t feel the least bit threatened, because it is plainly obvious that severing a functioning body part with a knife is distinct from skipping lunch
@kuhigid@micky45089@saintathanasia I’m just saying it’s wrong. They are of course free to do it. But it’s just as wrong if it’s someone I know and care about than someone I don’t know.
