What's the hardest thing you have to deal with?
Wait. I know: your emotions.
Why? Because they inject what seems like chaos into what you hoped was going to be a "business decision"
False.
There is no pure logic. Your emotions are always going to be there.
Embrace them.
When scheduling things, I should give myself two important, but unrelated, options for that scheduled time—that way I provide my procrastination-self a positive escape hatch.
The last three takeaways of the visualizations in this article are crucial:
1. Spending more time with loved ones matters
2. Your priority people should be set by you consciously, not others or by your fears
3. Find ways to increase the quality of the time you spend
I often think about this visualization from
@waitbutwhy
After reading it I started making an effort to spend more time with my parents.
If we're aware of our time at least we can make an informed choice about how to spend it.

Multitasking is the biggest productivity lie of our generation.
If it's critical, why distract yourself?
If it's not critical, why do it in the first place?
Interview processes used by many are still so archaic
e.g. CV, phone call, 3+ 1-on-1 interviews then a panel to decide who you'll hire
There are sooo many biases
How can you make it better? (and increase diversity)

(⚠️ It's a long one...)
I decided to go to therapy to figure out what’s holding me back in my business.
Would you ever do something like that?
Or does that seem too scary or taboo?
Self-help advice says:
“lean into discomfort”
But 99% of the time, it's expressed as a catchphrase - without explanations on what, why, and how to embrace discomfort.
So, if you crave insight > inspiration, here are 7 useful tips from experts in 🧠 science + psychology.

I don't like this premise:
• that certain things can't be taught or that must be learned experientially.
Can you teach someone to feel a specific muscle in their body?
Not directly.
But there's something we *can* do that's crazy effective (just 3 tweets, you can do it 👇💪)
Wowza I've tweeted for 90 days!
Challenges:
- Kids
- Posting with low energy/mood
- Posting even if it's not "perfect"
Positives:
- Confidence
- Momentum spills over to other areas
- Wife gets a laugh every day when she considers how committed I am to such a simple thing 😆
Being vulnerable shouldn't exhaust you.
If it does, it just means you're not really letting things slide.
Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Make that your daily habit.
Don't skip workouts.
It's a very bad habit to get into.
Lift light if you are feeling especially tired, but don't skip.
You go from skipping 1 day to 2 days and before you know it, you're skipping your workout every week.
Q: Which one thing can you do to your product or website that could 4x its reach?
A: Localise it
75% of the world doesn't speak English at all
Obviously, translation technologies get you some of the way there, but there is more you can do...

Starting 4 months ago, I started building good habits one at a time.
1.25 litres of water per day
Working out a major muscle group every day/cardio
Writing a (hopefully) helpful tweet
Making my bed like they do at hotels
Next up: building a profitable business every month 😅
In any relationship, you must aim for the truth.
That includes the relationship you have with yourself.
And whether you feel hurt or not, you must accept the truth.
@arvidkahl I do. Doesn't fit my worldview nor view for the future of humanity. "Employability" implies that I must work FOR others but, in fact, I will always only be working WITH others. Therefore I bring my own value, on my own terms, and enter into agreements on those bases.
