Super relevant update on the Airtable acquisition!
They spun out their AI business Hyperagent prior to the acquisition.
So the company lives on, and likely some cash with it, probably can be recapitalized.
seems like a fantastic outcome. Shed the old business and focus on AI
@paulg Best advice when it comes to enterprise customers! As a founder, you have to read the early signals and ask the right qualifying questions before it's too late. Buying committees, bureaucracies, and power plays = delays, more meetings, and no decisions!
We just raised $5.7M for @PolarBrowser, the AI browser that beats Anthropic and OpenAI on every major web agent benchmark.

For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

When software was expensive - thin, horizontal, best-of-breed software stacks extracted rents across every business.
Now that software is cheap - value moves to vertically integrated businesses that deliver opinionated end-to-end experiences.
Interesting nuggets in @theinformation article on Stripe:
-They are a huge beneficiary of the AI boom, powering payments for OpenAI, Anthropic and other AI companies.
-Revenue grew 33% to $6.8B in 2025—its fastest growth since 2021... and $2B already in Q1
-Generated $3.2B in free cash flow, up 52%... ~47% FCF margin.
-Moving deeper into the AI stack (usage-based billing, model gateways, stablecoin payments for AI agents)
They suggest OpenRouter could be a natural acquisition target for Stripe. That feels a little far from Stripe’s core thesis to me, and could create channel conflict with the model providers, so I'm not sure it makes sense
AI is moving into the physical world.
We're excited about a new wave of startups rebuilding the systems that power the real world, from education and healthcare to defense, finance, infrastructure, and work itself.

There’s an insane amount of alpha in:
- People in SF leaving SF to see how people and companies around the world are using AI (hint: most are still using it primarily as search)
- People outside SF spending even two weeks in SF to see how people and companies are operating here (hint: many are already living in the future)
This may be obvious to some, but the gap right now is staggering. The global diffusion of AI is a massive opportunity.

Seat-based SaaS pricing is dying.
James D. Wilton (@monevate) just dropped a must-see session: AI will drive 15-45% seat reduction in 3 years.
Three big risks: headcount compression, AI agents, and data extraction.
The new 4-stream model:
Seats (de-emphasized)
Platform Access Fee (30-50% of revenue)
AI Actions (outcome-based)
Data Products
Results:Base case: Seat-only → -15% | New model → +28%Worst case: Seat-only → -50% | New model → +20%
ServiceNow is already getting 50% net new from non-seat pricing.
Migrate early or lose pricing power.
Thanks James & Monevate 👏
My take: Founders- don’t build on a broken proxy. Price for value & outcomes from day one.
