The H-1B should be reformed so that people can switch employers easily. H-1B workers should have an unlimited grace period to find a new employer if they have enough in their private savings.

But to call H-1Bs "cheap labor" when they're required to be compensated at a salary that's at or above the prevailing wage is ridiculous. Worsening the debate is that journalists, media influencers with large followings, and even Senate staff, are using a non-government website to take screen caps of salary data that could be many years old, and posting it as though it's relevant. And everybody just decides to believes it.
