Today I found out that some students from my college got shortlisted for an opportunity through Eightfold AI.
The internship pays around โน1.2L/month, and the full-time package can go up to โน56 LPA.
I wasn't shortlisted.
To be honest, it stings a little. I've spent countless hours building projects, contributing to open source, learning AI, and applying everywhere. Seeing others get opportunities while not even making the shortlist makes me question what I'm missing.
But that's okay.
I'll keep building.
I'll keep learning.
I'll keep shipping projects.
I'll keep contributing to open source.
One opportunity doesn't define my journey.
Maybe this post will remind someone else who's facing rejection today: keep going. Your next opportunity could be closer than you think.
Senior Devs: Use Git CLI, it gives you full control over the Git tree and prevents mistakes.
Junior Devs: Use Git GUI, its safer, and you can visually track your branches
Me: Deletes the entire local repository and re clones it because I got one merge conflict
