Obama's career advice for young people --

Just learn how to get stuff done. What I mean by that is I've seen at every level people who are very good at describing problems, people who are very sophisticated at explaining why something went wrong or why something can't get fixed. But, what Im always looking for is, no matter how small the problem or big it is, somebody who says, ‘Let me take care of that.’ If you project an attitude of whatever it is that’s needed, I can handle it, and I can do it. Whoever is running that organization will notice.

Here's an FYI to Mr. #Putin: The United States has donated 1 million metric tons of #wheat to African and Middle Eastern nations in need every year for 3 years. Good luck catching up to the American people! https://t.co/HgIwYZFSAT #foodaid @USAID @USDA #UkraineRussiaWar

The average winter wheat acreage planted trade estimate is 1.0-1.4 mln acres too low, in our opinion.#wheat

@agtradertalk This is on FOB likely? To destinations, it is still far from competing.

Russia officially suspends the Istanbul grain deal for indefinite time. The Kremlin is desperately trying to put more pressure on Kyiv and the Western coalition supporting Ukraine. However, this audacious attempt to gain leverage may backfire against Moscow. 1/

@DHadelin Pakistan, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt on demand side and corridor talks not fruitful so far. Futures can't care less! Neither does cash care much!

Powell hikes 75 basis point and yet Nasdaq & Bitcoin are going to the moon.

What the heck?

While I disagree with the unfolding market narrative here, let me try to explain why we are witnessing such a rally.

Just a few weeks ago, it seemed that the Kremlin is determined to stick on its blockade of Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea, so today's Istanbul grain deal is an important about-face. What might have changed Putin's calculus, and is he sincere? Some brief thoughts.

Steve Jobs famously said innovation is "saying no to 1000 things" before you say yes.

@chavdar_ @WheatSpreader I hear you. Why is the larger market not seeing that? Commodities were supposed to provide diversification in a portfolio.
