I am really frustrated on the seat booking of IRCTC and Indian railways. I booked ticket 4months in advance in which I booked ticket for me and my father who is a senior citizen and we have to do long 43 hours journey.

Even TTE is asking to manage on your own. I am really not getting how senior citizens will travel in train if Indian Railways is not able to provide lower berths on the age criteria.

While booking I mentioned seat for my father as Lower Berth but upon booking I got side upper for my father. My father is a heart patient and he cannot climbed stairs, I brought up this concern with Indian Railways and IRCTC but none of them supported me.
