Congrats to our group on the Cancer Cell publication supporting the “TKI-induced target-to-kill” strategy for EGFR-mutant cancer!😃 https://t.co/kmIfgZCcXk
What do #Ivonescimab’s positive results in HARMONi-A and HARMONi-2 trials suggest biologically? Beyond T-cell checkpoint evasion, angiogenesis stands out among many other cancer drivers. Future systems must pinpoint such master driver for each patient.

...due to the nature of high intra- and inter-tumoral heterogeneity and intricate mechanisms of carcinogenesis and immune escape. In fact, many studies only reveal new layers of complexity or yield contradictory findings.
Some thoughts to share: There’s a lot of hype about AI curing cancer and other diseases in the near future. While AI has performed exceptionally well in improving diagnostics and predicting treatment outcomes, we’re still far from a true cure due to cancer’s complexity...
Our team presented notable ORR for the B7H3 (an immune checkpoint) ADC YL201 across several tumor types in the subsequent-line setting at #ESMO2024. Surprising benefits were observed for SCLC (ORR 68%).
🤔Discovering the hidden impact of placebos in immune checkpoint inhibitor trials! ⁉️⁉️⁉️
⁉️🚨This meta-analysis reveals that 22.85% of placebo patients reported immune-related adverse events (irAEs), highlighting the need for careful interpretation of irAE profiles.
✴️✅Understanding these 'false' irAEs is crucial for patient safety and accurate trial outcomes.

Exciting and important data from the HARMONi-A from our director Prof. Li Zhang: Ivonescimab plus chemotherapy improved PFS in EGFR-MUT patients who progressed on TKI, with a good safety profile. We hope to see improvement in OS😀! #ASCO24
Dr. Li Zhang at #ASCO24 presents phase III HARMONi-A study of chemotherapy + ivonescimab (PD1/VEGF bispecific) vs placebo in pts with #EGFR NSCLC post TKI.
Meta-analysis: Adding adjuvant immunotherapy may not improve clinical outcomes for patients with early-stage NSCLC who receive neoadjuvant PD-1 and PD-L1 inhibitors plus chemotherapy and undergo radical surgery. https://t.co/tT6R7rxq5h
This oral has also been published online as a full article in @JTOonline (https://t.co/HkjGvzAtSQ). We believe that the findings could provide valuable information regarding #STK11 in #lungcancer cancer. Welcome any questions or discussions! #WCLC2023
Thank you so much #WCLC23#IASLC This has been an incredible experience. I am so happy to have shared our findings, won an education award, and engaged with numerous experts and young oncologists. #STK11#lungcancer
Congratulations! Our chief Prof. Li Zhang presented a first-in-class EGFRxHER3 bispecific #ADC in patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumor.

Cohort study identifies MUC16 mutation as an effective biomarker for survival benefit of immune checkpoint inhibitor in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer. https://t.co/N1AhN0nyQW
😀Great to see our new publication, which describes comprehensive clinical evidence regarding neoadjuvant chemotherapy versus neoadjuvant #chemoradiotherapy versus surgery alone in resectable #esophageal carcinoma @EClinicalMed

..., which might be due to a low mutation amount but those mutations are highly immunogenetic . On the contrary, some non-responders were assigned an overestimated TMB score, which might be due to a high mutation amount but those mutations are probably non-immunogenetic.
Our current publication and others (31843683,32340679) demonstrated that additionally considering variant allele frequency in the calculation of blood tumor mutation burden (#bTMB) would substantially improve the predictive ability for #immunotherapy.

Future research of predicsion medicine should further refine the TMB calculation by more appropriately assigning numbers to each of mutations. For instance, some patients who could benefit from immunotherapy were assigned an underestimated TMB score (to be continued....)
Great to see our study out😀, which determined long non-coding RNA as a promising predictive biomarker for immune checkpoint inhibitor in cancers. #immunotherapy@JAMANetworkOpen@JAMAOnc
