@raq_residents @Deepa60650354 How have we got parly counsel - this makes no sense to me? The chances of a private members bill without gov backing getting through are very small. The chances of it getting a second reading are more decent - which is why I’m saying this is good for campaigning.

@BristolCladding We’ve got share of freehold in my building, so know there’s no freeholder faking, but do think there’s still incentive to find things wrong (1. PI cover/limits makes them risk averse 2. In some cases can then bid for more work). We got it peer reviewed to help give us confidence

@helpcladding @claddingscanda1 I’m not saying that there isn’t enough funding (there absolutely isn’t) - but I’m worried that 1) this will make people panic even more when it might not be justified in their case and 2) Gov will dismiss it as nonsense.

@helpcladding @claddingscanda1 I don’t get how this can be right - given how slow BSF process is, how would do many people know what is or isn’t illegible? Insulation, without dodgy cladding, can be eligible. Balconies or missing cavity barriers that are part of an external wall system can be eligible.

I think there’s just panic, lack of strategic oversight, and a bunch of stupid mistakes they’re pretending they didn’t make

@WestbridgeWharf @RibbitReal @mhclg Very strongly agree on liability point - a lot of the last few years has been them dancing around the fact they know a lot of this is their fault, but not admitting publicly. Disagree on knowing cost - I don’t know how they’d have a clue as haven’t been collecting data?

@mhclg Huh? You’re doing no surveying whatsoever and the fire and rescue service aren’t qualified to survey buildings either - all they do is enforce waking watch and rely on fire engineers reports. If you ran this tweet by the right policy officials then I despair for your department

@derekwatso @skeptichound @JuliaHB1 I’m in my 30s and was hospitalised with Covid last year. Still can’t walk more than 5 mins without chest pain and wheezing. Nose didn’t run at all though. It might not be horrific for everyone&should be sensible approach, but really has been v bad for some of us. Not made up.
