I’ve long relied on CDC wastewater data to track COVID community spread and guide my precautions accordingly. For the past year, I used a simple iOS/macOS widget I wrote to help keep tabs. If you might find it useful, I finally shared it on the App Store: https://t.co/iKZ31mSr28
#lipidtime: It's a lipid universe. Today in Nature we publish the Lipid Brain Atlas, the first map of membrane lipid composition across the entire mouse brain, a layer of organisation that cell-type and transcript maps had left out. #lipidomics#neuroscience#BrainAtlas
@Biff234523 Thanks a lot! Any suggestion about timing? Last year my kids got Flu b in February that is quite late (?). They had mild symptoms and a short course so possibly still attenuated by the nasal vaccine taken at the end of October.any thanks
💯🎯 Based on modeling work I've done, if >25% ppl mask (N95), we eliminate massive waves. The power of masking! It is not linear, 25% masking reduces new daily infections by more than 60%. You CAN make a difference.
Great but “acute” death is the only problem that should concern us. Chronic, degenerative and secondary diseases are a HUGE problem for individuals and societies and they still lead to “delayed” but premature death. The garden is still dangerous
This if correct
There is no need to publish this data at this resolution any longer
If we published deaths from HCoV OC43 (a virus most hospitals won't even have a test for) I imagine they would be the same or higher
Covid is now just another garden variety coronavirus

Experts call for N95s over surgical masks as flu and COVID viruses spread.

@cleanairschool@CDCgov Haven’t checked everything closely but I normally always start with EPA guidelines. It feels like facilities dep of schools could relate more easily but still waiting to see how effective this is…
