@JrWhipstock @BobMuir @Decafquest Haha yes i remember! I have already seen some sloppy AI written papers out there claiming to have found the next big breakthrough in LLMs 😂

Def not intelligent in the same sense as an Einstein indeed. A very efficient knowledge recycling machine can be very useful though

@JrWhipstock @BobMuir @Decafquest And yes, AI models are essentially backwards looking statistics, but they have been able to generate new protein fold possibilities (or sth like that). More specialized models though, afaik.

@JrWhipstock @BobMuir @Decafquest I'm not sure if the concept of "human level intelligence" makes sense in the context of AI at all. Different categories of intelligence, might not be quite comparable.

Also, looking at the world I'm not sure if "human level intelligence" is really something we should aim for...

During the excquisite Philosophy Retreat by @Decafquest we have certainly lived this good life, with great company, fabulous food, good conversations, generous amounts of drinks, and some beautiful art.
