Quite remarkable because at the age of 30 she did her achilles and had a year out. She missed the Olympics and you'd have to wonder if it was worth it carrying it on. Came back and is now in the form of her life.
A highly regarded British athletics coach has been missing from his role for two months after failing to return to work with his athletes after a weekend away

A terrific display on the final day by GB (3 golds and 7 medals) . Gallingly pipped by an inspired Italian team for top spot but 9 golds, 8 silvers and 2 bronzes is our second best haul in the 92 years of the Euro champs.
Just putting it out there: @BBCSport deciding to include @J_Ennis and Greg Rutherford in their permanent lineup throughout the games, has been a real tonic - both are so informative and entertaining. #TeamGB#Birmingham26#EuropeanAthletics
Silver in '16, fourth in '18, bronze in '22 and now silver in '26 in the long jump for that brilliant competitor jazz sawyers- Britain's single field event medallist this week.. Four jumps over 6.90m in what was a brilliant competition
Britains domination of the speed events in Birmingham continues as @amyghunt anchors the mixed 4x1 to gold in 39.97-- the second fastest ever and a European rec.. four golds and seven races in seven days for Amy-- all time rec eight golds for @dinaashersmith
Abbie Donnelly makes history on the streets of Birmingham ‼️
She becomes the first British woman to win a marathon medal at the European Athletics Championships 🇬🇧
Donnelly clocks 2:27:33 and timed her race perfectly, having gone through half-way in 73:44 ⚡️
Take a bow Abbie Donnelly 🫡
The best marathon result ever for a British woman at the European Championships! The first to win a medal 🥉
GB also take the team gold 🥇
Brilliant for Abbie Donnelly to win Euro marathon bronze (2:27.33) in her third marathon and add to cross country bronze in '23. Best ever placing by a gb woman. Natasha Wilson who was dropped often grinded her way back to a super fifth.
