@cremieuxrecueil Crazy idea, but sell anonymous verification cards at e.g. off-licences.We trust sellers of alcohol, tobacco etc to be able to verify customers age. E.g. 50p or free with every purchase - valid age verification for one year of new sign ups.
This is about data and denanonymisation
@twitter@elonmusk Please allow an option to turn off auto-translate for languages I speak in options. nothing more annoying than reading badly auto-translated posts from German/Greek/Swedish creators.
@krakensupport@xrpaxelrod Oopsie whoopsie.
Transfer margin - does not work
Close positions -nope
Adjust PAS - you guessed it, no.
Cycling assignments and Liquidations - works just fine
@krakensupport@XRPlover101 Mobile app, website and desktop, balances update about once/min, orders unreliable, transfers to derivatives (today is a day to add margin , or would have been, for me, RIP portfolio) are just impossible .
@endlibtyranny@NIH e.g. the depreciation for the battery of mass spectrometers at the uni-wide core facility costing as much as one (1) M1H2 Abrams maintainance contracts and staff enabling dozens of research groups? all "overhead". Cuts w/ no replacement are gonna have bad long-run consequences.
@endlibtyranny@NIH Direct grants pay for the chemicals in your lab fridge, the salaries of maybe a dozen grads and PhDs and anything you need for this research in particular. "Overhead" pays for the building you're in, the HVAC guy, power and long lasting equipment. 1/2
@BrettYokom@madras_bertha@NIH Exactly. Institution pays for it, and it gets tacked onto the direct grants going to PIs for specific projects as... indirect costs. A nearly 50% cut is gonna have have consequences, as much as I hope that 50% was all waste/ not strictly necessary, I doubt it.
@JBills1134029@NIH Labs cost money, equipment costs money, maintenance staff costs money. DOGE has done many great things already, but without reallocating part of the money saved to these costs, I fear this may have disastrous long-run consequences for the US lead role in research.
