Hey, my beloved $IOTA community. This time, I have something personal to share. It doesn't have anything to do with IOTA right off the bat, but since this is the only community I have, there’s no one else I could share this with. Over the last few weeks, I’ve built an app that is now available in the Apple App Store. It would mean the world to me if some of you could give it a try. If you cancel during the trial period, it’s completely free. Maybe you even have some ideas on how to integrate IOTA into it. I’m looking forward to your reviews. Thanks for reading. ❤️

To everyone here who believes the EU and the DMA protect consumers and competition: you are mistaken. Free competition means anyone can offer a product in whatever way they see fit; that is the free market economy. If a customer doesn't like it, they don't have to buy it—they can go to the competition. What the EU is doing is artificially interfering with this fundamental rule from the outside. The EU has done this several times before! For instance, the EU demanded that Apple open up its proprietary "AirDrop" system to others, insisting that Android be allowed to use the patented technology as well. That amounts to nothing less than the forcible seizure of intellectual property rights. If you invent or develop a technology or a device, can it simply be snatched away from you at any time? Is that fair? It destroys the work of development. Why bother doing pioneering work if your achievements can be taken away at any moment and used by anyone? You create a painting? Now that painting belongs to everyone; anyone can market it and profit from it. It is Apple's right to offer its products however it chooses—just as any other company can offer its products in the way it deems appropriate.
I don’t think we need the EU any longer… maybe we are better without

Due to DMA, Siri AI delayed in EU for iOS 27 and iPadOS 27
Siri AI will be available to EU users on macOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27

Apple today introduced Siri AI, an entirely new version of Siri, powered by Apple Intelligence. Unfortunately, due to the Digital Markets Act (DMA), Apple will not be able to ship Siri AI in the European Union with the release of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. Over the past several months, EU regulators did not accept any of Apple’s proposed solutions to bring Siri AI to the EU while safely supporting other virtual assistants.
“We’re deeply disappointed that our EU users won’t have Siri AI on iPhone or iPad when we share our new software releases later this year,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering. “Our hope is to eventually bring Siri AI to the EU, and we will continue to engage with EU regulators on a path forward. However, their refusal to engage constructively on solutions that preserve privacy and security means we do not currently have a timeline for Siri AI’s availability on iOS and iPadOS in the EU.”
When iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 launch later this year, users in the EU1 will not have access to Siri AI and its advanced capabilities — including the new dedicated app to revisit conversations, an expanded Visual Intelligence experience, integrated tools for writing, Siri mode in Camera on iOS, and other Siri AI capabilities announced at WWDC26. EU users will be able to access Siri AI on macOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27. Developers located in the EU will not be able to test or use the new Siri AI features for their apps on iOS and iPadOS.
Siri AI is private by design and deeply integrated across Apple’s platforms using on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute, which extends the privacy and security of iPhone into the cloud. However, under EU regulators’ extreme interpretation of the DMA, Apple would have to give any virtual assistant direct access to users’ private data — and the ability to directly control other installed applications — as soon as Siri AI is made available in the EU, without the essential protections necessary to keep users and their data safe.
According to EU regulators, the DMA requires Apple to give any AI system nearly unlimited access to a user’s device, as well as the ability to act on that access autonomously without a user’s ongoing visibility and control. That includes the ability to read and send messages, make purchases, access files, and execute actions across any app. Security researchers have already shown that AI systems can be hijacked to steal personal data — like passwords and photos — and to permanently alter files and account settings without a user’s consent. As AI systems gain more capabilities, these risks are quickly increasing in frequency and scope.
Given the serious risks to users, Apple designed a solution called Trusted System Agent — an intermediary that would allow virtual assistants to safely access the same features and capabilities as Siri AI for devices in the EU. Apple also shared a plan to launch Siri AI in the EU while gradually rolling out this new solution over an 18-month period. The European Commission said no. In fact, the European Commission did not agree to any of Apple’s proposals.
Apple will continue working to bring these features to the European Union as safely as possible. However, given the clear dangers to EU users and the regulators’ failure to acknowledge these risks, there is currently no timeline for Siri AI’s availability in the EU on iOS and iPadOS.

€70M+ of EU 🇪🇺 funding flowing into Kenya 🇰🇪
Now connect the dots.
Kenya is also one of the first ADAPT countries powered by $IOTA.
And the EU is talking about:
Digital identity.
Cross-border data flows.
Trade facilitation.
Digital Public Infrastructure.
Kenya isn’t just getting funding.
It’s becoming a testbed for digital trade.
Absolut.

TWIN is heading to the United Nations center in Bangkok 🇹🇭
And the interesting part isn't the conference.
It’s who’s in the room.
The big institutional layer
UN ESCAP
The UN’s regional arm for Asia-Pacific.
This is the government, customs, trade policy and cross-border cooperation layer.
ADB
Asian Development Bank.
One of the major development banks in Asia-Pacific.
This brings the conversation closer to infrastructure funding, country-level implementation, customs modernization and regional trade corridors.
WEF
World Economic Forum.
The Davos guys.
They have been close to TWIN from the beginning and are good at bringing governments, companies and institutions into the same room.
The speakers
Siemens Healthineers
Global healthcare technology company.
Medical supply chains are heavily regulated, so digital trade documents here are a serious real-world use case.
Bitkub Capital
Thailand blockchain and digital asset group.
Adds the local Asia and crypto infrastructure angle.
Credore
Digital credentials, trade finance and verifiable documents.
Very close to the core TWIN idea: turning trade documents into trusted digital data.
Drip Capital
Trade finance for SMEs and exporters.
Important because paperless trade is also about giving smaller businesses better access to finance.
CT Strategies
Customs, border management and trade facilitation.
Customs is where trade often gets stuck, so this is a key part of the puzzle.
GMS Sustainable Agriculture / Food Security
Agriculture and food supply chain angle.
Origin, certification, food safety and traceability are exactly the kind of data global trade needs to verify.
So what will TWIN show?
Early use cases for DLT-enabled infrastructure that can reduce paper, lower costs, shorten processing times, improve data integrity and strengthen trust between trading partners.
$IOTA inside
And ADAPT will be shown as the concrete Africa example.
So, Urlaub ist vorbei!
Heute ist wieder regulärer @iota Stammtisch! 🍻

@iret77 Sure, but it’s perfectly explained on the store page, without downloading. Unfortunately it’s iOS only by now, but I will do my best to build an android version. ✌️
@anonymous_IOTA I downloaded and tested the Swan Signal app, and it’s working perfectly. It’s great to see tools like this that can help improve personal safety, especially for people who live or stay alone. Simple, useful, and easy to use.
Great job building this app.
