The official match ball for the FIFA World Cup 2026 was made in Sialkot, Pakistan, a city that produces around 70% of the world’s footballs. From hand-crafted expertise to cutting-edge technology, Pakistan’s football industry has been at the heart of the global game for the last four decades

Amnesty International has accused Israel’s government of carrying out a campaign of “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and annexing their territory.

Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write.

They wiped out medical workers in Gaza. Now they're wiping out medical workers in Lebanon. And much of the Western media doesn't appear to consider it worthy of headline news.
This week Doctors Without Borders shared analysis on the impact of Israel’s DELIBERATE blocking of aid to Gaza.
I can’t find a single headline in Western media. How is further proof of genocide—that is still ongoing—not newsworthy?
One of the most horrifying and brutal scenes ever captured on camera in modern history.
Israeli soldiers opened fire on thousands of starving Palestinians in Gaza as they ran in desperation trying to get a piece of food during the war on Gaza.
A moment the world must never forget.
I told @abcnews that rats & rodents are literally chewing through tents in Gaza. Children are too scared to sleep for fear of being bitten. Disease is spreading. This is a direct result of the blockade & the conditioning rehabilitation of infrastructure on political outcomes.
Not for genocide.
Not for war crimes.
Not for occupation.
Not for colonisation.
Not for invasion.
Not for torture.
But for trading stolen grain, maybe.
Sherman says it out loud: Serious scholars of genocide have already declared Gaza a genocide; Israel’s leaders have ICC warrants out for crimes against humanity; the ICJ is likely to declare Gaza a genocide. People don’t like this word, but they will need to get used to it.
The Israeli government has gotten away with the mass destruction of Gaza, all aided and abetting by the US government, so it is replicating that war-crime strategy in southern Lebanon. https://t.co/Cg3uqf2HOG
Pakistani authorities have sharply escalated abusive raids, arbitrary detentions, and forced returns of Afghan refugees following renewed border clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Police operations have left thousands of already vulnerable Afghan refugees, including children, facing serious barriers to health care, education, and other essential services.

Israel didn't just kill Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil; they hunted her down and dropped grenades on the medics who tried to save her.
In other news, Europe - in its infinite moral void - voted against imposing even minor consequences on Israel for its countless war crimes.
One-third of global fertilizers are stalled in the Strait of Hormuz. With planting seasons already underway, we have no time to lose.
This is not a matter of logistics or economics – it's about saving lives. If we don't act, a massive food crisis will hit the most vulnerable the hardest.
The UN is ready. Our mechanism to facilitate safe passage for these essential goods can be operational in just 7 days.
We have the solution – now we need the collective will to implement it. Let’s get to work.

This is what Israel has done in the city of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon—destroying the city entirely, in a manner resembling the devastation seen in Gaza.
Why would Israel target medical workers in Gaza and now southern Lebanon? It is part of a strategy to make life unlivable so as to drive out the civilian population. In Gaza, it became part of Israel's genocide. https://t.co/osNMexYMGn
