@OdysseyJurassic Two different rights agreements. Area music is not as expensive as something that drives the main point of storytelling. BGM can be used under the right ASCAP/BMI license or small rights. A song in an attraction would require grand rights, which is a higher price.
@Colin_d_m In fairness Orlando wasn’t given a chance since the Sunrail barely runs during hours people would use it. I know someone that lived next to a stop and worked next to another and they could never take it because they got off of work too late everyday.
@BrerOswald@AttractionIdea Pokémon slightly stretches the literature theme of IOA by being a manga. I guess Zelda can too but for some reason that seems more like a stretch to me if they are trying to keep with that.
@dsnymike@ScottGustin@BlankSamuel Prisoner of Azkaban arguably necessitated new material and is a nice transition from “welcome to this magical world” to the more mature side of the stories. The real disappointment is post JW HP scores not using the damn Voldemort theme.
@ThatDisneyBoi@DisneyScoopGuy DLR 2.5 is the superior when it comes to lighting. 2.0 went bonkers with the lighting package upgrade and it was a mess that they cleaned up.
DHS lighting is weird now with fixtures bolted to the mountain in plain sight.
@miashellw @shorttnnsweet @seangarrette@wrldofda This exactly. When you watch the Broadway version there are always people in the audience shocked when you learn who Scarecrow is. That will be less people now cause of the movie but I think they want to preserve that reveal.
@AliciaStella@Naynay3655 I actually think the loss of 3D isn’t as severe as the loss of 3D glasses. Without the glasses your eyes focus way more on the floor and the top of the projection screens. Every single screen in the ride needs a scenic border (well it did regardless) without the glasses.
@katelynnnh_ 2. If you just don’t use the OBB ticket, the dollar amount it exists in your account and they can convert it to a day ticket or a special event ticket. Just don’t ask them to make it anything until you know what you want.
@katelynnnh_ Two things:
1. Disneyland cast members are generally better in every way compared to WDW, EXCEPT their ticketing people. Had a friend experience an issue with a magic key upgrade and basically they told him to go to the park and then said “tough luck”.
@katelynnnh_ They fact that California has a Halloween Party with a ton of special things and a villain for each treat trail when we have basically none of that here…
@Themountainkin1 @Hggjgfrgjtsj I’m also think rides need to lose 3D and projection. Get high density video wall. The brightness, contrast, and resolution of Ministry at Epic gives enough depth that no one will miss 3D save for the few that like things popping out at you. 3D is best for a theatre show.
@Themountainkin1 @Hggjgfrgjtsj I actually wish Spider-Man was 2D. The new age 3D glasses on everything worsens the experience. The old Muppet vision type ones were way more accommodating to people with glasses and didn’t have weird glare issues that the current ones have.
@GreenCheetah99@wallin_ballin@BeastCoasters Seconding this. Helios along with basically any of the UO hotels post Royal Pacific are drywall boxes with light theming suggestions. Helios should have been the crown jewel but it’s nothing special.
@wallin_ballin The floats that have actual smooth runs of LES neon and not wobbly lines look great. It’s missing a lot of performers between floats though. Spectromagic and Paint the Night are the gold standards for me, but I never liked MSEP.
@LefeversJay@AliciaStella It’s a property they don’t have to license that can easily be slapped on a rollercoaster that will be crowded no matter the IP that’s attached. Why spend money on another property if they don’t have to?
