It's the criminal market in #cannabis and other drugs that is driving violent crime. The solution is to provide legal, regulated access. As Canada is showing, this works. There 80% of all cannabis is now purchased through legal channels. #drugspolicy https://t.co/sfxac5pdG4
Treasury minister tells Wales to "be grateful" for the money given to it over rail funding.
It shows total disconnect with reality.
For the record, the Treasury's own figures show Wales is getting £350m compared to Scotland's £4bn!
The UK Treasury has screwed Wales again!
They have now classed a railway line running for Oxford to Cambridge as an "England and WALES" project.
This robs Wales over £300m+ whereas Scotland and NI get their cash.
It's a disgrace that this is still happening after the HS2 robbery.
Hat tip to @LibDemDavid for discovering this.
Absurd.
The rail line lies entirely within England and will offer no benefit to Wales. On the contrary, its misclassification will deny Wales millions of pounds in desperately needed infrastructure investment.
Carys seems to me like that raucously fun aunty that turns up to the family BBQ and argues with your step-dad about Welsh independence, then hogs the karaoke machine for so long the neighbours lodge a noise complaint ✍️Molly Stubbs https://t.co/XCdR8HwlDK
Today, the @covidinquiryuk heard how @BorisJohnson lied to the British public about the UK's ability to Test & Trace.
Those in power knew that a lack of planning and underinvestment had left the country unprepared, and they tried to cover it up.
Our loved ones paid the price.
Here's a sample of the kind of NHSBad stories BBC Scotland has run this last three months. No other part of the BBC network runs negative boilerplate NHS stories with this frequency. Something is definitely going on.
The time has come to dispense with Laura Kuenssberg and replace her with the less biased and more competent Victoria Derbyshire. Like or repost if you agree. #BBCLauraK
I'm so proud of this 14 yr old young woman and the father who believed in her abilities and drove behind her to keep them safe. 🐴🥰 California Fires saving a horse that wasn't hers but refused to load up in the trailer when evacuated. She volunteered to ride it out 14 miles to safety
They are pushing the horrible Nigel Farage upon us.
His offensive grifting face, and whiny little voice will be on I'm a Celebrity.
Time to send them a message that no-one like this ****
Like if you won't be watching.
RT if you really don't like him.
Funny how the #Oil in Scottish waters is always seen as a benefit to Britain but a terrible burden for Scotland! Wonder why they didn’t want Scots to see this article #SelfDetermination#ScotRef
Cannabis for Cancer Review
Key Themes:
Anti-tumour Properties: A recurring theme throughout the bulletin is the ability of cannabinoids to inhibit tumour growth and induce cell death in various cancer types. This is supported by numerous pre-clinical studies cited in the bulletin.
Symptom Management: Cannabis is highlighted as an effective tool for managing common cancer symptoms like pain, sleep disturbances, stress, nausea, and mood disorders.
Personal Testimonials: The bulletin features stories of individuals like Rhonda Gossett, Tommy Chong, and Sophie, who credit cannabis with aiding in their cancer recovery or symptom management. These anecdotes provide a personal touch to the scientific information presented.
Important Ideas and Facts:
Mechanism of Action: Cannabinoids are shown to work against cancer through various mechanisms, including:
-Regulating cancer-related cell cycle pathways.
-Inhibiting tumour cell invasion, migration, and angiogenesis.
-Inducing apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells.
Types of Cancer: The bulletin provides specific examples of how cannabis may benefit the treatment of the following cancers:
Breast Cancer, particularly triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
Prostate Cancer.
Melanoma Cancer.
Bowel Cancer.
Brain Cancer, specifically glioblastoma.
Supporting Quotes:
Anti-tumour effects: "Cannabinoids have been found to affect tumours of the brain, prostate, colon and rectum, breast, uterus, cervix, thyroid, skin, pancreas, and lymph."
Breast Cancer: "Cannabinoids show anti tumour activity in most pre-clinical studies in TNBC models and do not appear to have adverse effects on chemotherapy."
Prostate Cancer: "Cannabidiol Enhances the Anticancer Activity of Etoposide on Prostate Cancer Cells. "Moreover, co-administration markedly decreased tumorigenic properties, such as proliferative capacity, colonial growth, migration, and 3D tumour formation and also induced senescence."
Brain Cancer: “The preliminary results show good tolerance of cannabinoids and prolonged survival after administration of these drugs.”
Symptom Management: "Among the 510 participants who turned to cannabis after their cancer diagnosis, 60% cited managing sleep disturbances, 51% pain, 44% stress, 34% nausea, and 32% mood disorders or depression as reasons."
Conclusion:
The BudMed Bulletin presents a strong argument for further research into the potential of cannabis in cancer treatment. While acknowledging that more clinical trials are needed, the evidence presented suggests that cannabinoids may offer valuable benefits, both in fighting the disease itself and managing its debilitating symptoms. The inclusion of personal stories adds a powerful human dimension to the scientific discussion.

8 Israeli soldiers' deaths is a headline, whilst an Israeli strike on a school for orphans in Gaza City and Israel's recent killing of 1400 in Lebanon are ignored

This call to prayers has been part of Cardiff Culture since the 19th Century, and is a cherished aspect of a Docks community that was the cornerstone of the Welsh Merchant Navy. It is totally acceptable and real Cardiffians are proud of it.
Bloomberg Intelligence says #cannabis legalisation is a “significant threat” to the alcohol industry. Big Booze's paid-for politicians are the main obstacle to reform. They are terrified that cannabis is 100 times safer than alcohol. #drugspolicy https://t.co/8nCsWlv9lf
Rayner on Grenfell: “Greed and deregulation were put before safety”
Deregulation is not some buccaneering good as Tories would have you believe.
Deregulation means removing our protections so the rich and the powerful can take risks and exploit us.
Let’s not help them do that.
