@McFaul Bill Gates spent billions on reasonably causes. Do you mean only spending on personal consumption? Then sure. But personal consumption and net worth of investments are totally different things.
@NoahCRothman Yep, it's muggy as hell out there and it's not even the middle of June. This summer is sure going to be long and hot. Damn you Democrats!
@mattyglesias The very idea of that sort of worm embedded in meat (whether or not that's ever going to reach consumers) is enough to make me give a second look to Beyond and Impossible.
@MattGLilley If "some people survived" is your standard, then there is no need for a healthcare system at all. Some people survived in prehistoric times, too.
@jstein_star Looks good! The chart shows an uneven but broad increase in paper wealth (obvs stock ownership is never going to be uniformly distributed), most of which remains invested in the economy that delivers strong job growth year after year.
@mattyglesias Because one can see vote tallies changing dramatically after the election day. That doesn't look normal (to those outside of California). The votes are cast, yet someone is changing the tallies. Hmmm.
@mattyglesias@PunchbowlNews Well, *someone* better come up with a plan for mandatory spending sooner rather than later. But I'll believe it when I see it.
