In today's @ladailynews op-ed page: I write about LA's Measure ULA, a new tax on property sales that funds affordable housing production.
It's a classic case of "good idea poorly executed", and it's likely to make housing *harder* to build. (1/x)

My op-ed in today's @ladailynews: LA's lack of new housing is driving away young families, and @Planning4LA is about to approve a housing plan that doesn't do enough to encourage housing growth and keep young families here.

@BayWestInvest These look great, really nicely done. My company, Revival Homes (https://t.co/SYTmtIyuBr) is an ADU one-stop shop in LA. We design, build, and finance ADUs for homeowners and rental property owners. DM me if you'd like to learn more.

@CohenSite Some of their money came from a settlement (read: shakedown) between a community group and Westfield Mall. The group’s prez later transferred the money to Fix the City (he is prez of this group also) and was sued for it:

@CohenSite I dug into their Form 990 a couple of years ago - to call it opaque would be an understatement. I recall some evidence of multiple interlocking organizations.
@bchesky Hi, sorry to bug you, but I had a very poor Airbnb experience last week. I let your team’s customer service agents know about it 6 days ago, and they haven’t been helpful at all. Can someone on your team help? Thanks!
@bhargreaves Westside extension of the Purple Line in LA. Current zoning near the new stations is rough, but *some* upzoning seems likely due to the housing element and new laws like AB 2011 (by-right midrise mixed-use on commercially-zoned parcels)
They said they didn’t want to risk getting busted for use of excessive force in making an arrest. Sounds to me like they just didn’t feel like doing their jobs
Hey @LAPDHQ@LAPDChiefMoore the man in blue is a drunk driver who hit 2 cars in Los Feliz and fled the scene. When I told your officers he was at Hollywood + Edgemont, they told me not to worry my pretty little head for something that’s hardly the “crime of the century”. Nice job
You’ve heard it’s a good idea to get 3 bids on your new ADU project and to meet your contractor and design team in person. But, you might not know what to ask. Check out our latest blog for a handy interview guide to help you get the most out of your consults with your team.

New research from @zillow shows that people are saying YES to more housing in their backyards. 89% (!) of LA residents support allowing ADUs in their neighborhood, a pattern found consistently across major metros.
