Remember the are old "if your friends were jumping off a bridge, would you do THAT too". Well, aura farming and social media have turned us into lemmings who would simply jump off the bridge following clout.
#WhatAreWeDoing
Just so we are clear, we all know Tony Brothers name which is a massive problem.
He's staring at this foul and eats the whistle after calling Karl Towns for 2 phantom calls while he was 40 ft away.
The NBA can't have this.
The fact that everyone knows Tony Brothers name and his crew whistles are brutal against the Knicks. Keep Spurs in it by putting 2 awful calls against KAT. #Knilcs
Tuesday, June 16 could be an epic day for NY sports fans w the right connections
Itinerary:
7 am - noon: U.S. Open practice rd @ Shinnecock
3 pm - 6 pm: France-Senegal World Cup match @ MetLife
8:30 pm: Knicks vs ??? NBA finals Game 6 @ MSG
Morabito got way too excited there, I get you want to be on 2nd to get bunted over to 3rd before 2 strikes but you have to see a pitch there to get your timing
I've long been supportive of people reclining on airplanes. BUT when you're 5 foot nothing in a seat with extra legroom, be more aware.
We need to be more civilized. #flyingrants
How many times are we going to do this? Team x is going to make Brunson defends our best; Brunson hasn't seen a defender like X
Knicks opponent in a great matchup. Knicks lose in 5.
#KnicksInSix
I’m gonna say it… The Knicks are a great matchup for Cleveland.
Brunson is going to be brought into every action and have to defend Harden/Mitchell
They don’t have an Ausar/Scottie Barnes level defender for Mitchell if they want to keep OG on Mobley
Dean Wade has given Brunson hell defensively
Having Mobley roaming when KAT brings the center out and tries to facilitate will limit those sets.
Knicks only chance is magnet ball.
Why firing Mendoza makes sense. Not challenging plays again, not holding stupid errors accountable, sac bunts in the 3rd inning when the runner can easily steal AND Late inning approach to swinging at first pitches and 2-0 balls down runs. It's a bad approach. #Mets
A broken system being able to continue to be broken leads to a longer broken organization. It'll hurt but looking at how their top 2025 draft picks are performing, maybe BLOW UP THE WHOLE DAMN THING.
(my broken record comment)
If you fire David Stearns, you have to replace majority of coaching/player dev staff top to bottom, AAA-DSL because the staff are implementing everything thats occurring in MLB level down to the teenage players in farm system. For better or worse you would be firing a 'system' again. how does that impact next few years?
To follow up on this as I have got some push back, another fully bombed season (comparable to last year) is more problematic than showing meaningful improvement because if they are 3-14 again, it doesn't just mean AG is a bad coach, it also likely means all the young talent we are excited about is not be as good as we expect, it also puts the GM on shaky ground and when a new regime comes in, whether that is half measure or full measure...they bring in their own guys and are probably cycling out the higher picks from 2025 and 2026.
If they are improve and win 6-8 games, it is on the front office/staff to mobilize their three first round picks and second round pick to obtain a QB if they aren't picking top 5 or so...that is part of the job and it is doable. Ironically, they pulled this off in 2018 to move up for Darnold (while likely thinking at the time of the trade they'd be getting Baker or Rosen) and in hindsight, that was a good enough QB to win with, they just put him with Adam F'n Gase.
There is also a rot and a mope that comes with starting another season 0-7 or 1-8 and losing weekly by 20+ points that is going to negatively impact player development.
Today the #Guardians acquired C Patrick Bailey ($43.6M surplus trade value) from the #SFGiants in exchange for LHP Matt Wilkinson ($3.0M) and a Competitive Balance Round A Pick ($5.0M).
The deal is rejected by our model as an underpay by Cleveland.
