I am not a DMK cadre, nor do I come from a party family. I am just a supporter.
My support is based on my own experience. During my college days, many people used to say that the DMK should not come to power. The same was said about the Indian National Congress as well.
In 2011, when the DMK lost badly, many people celebrated. But even then, I continued to support without expecting anything in return. Those who know me personally know how often I used to ask: “Will DMK win? If so, how many seats?”
Even party cadres themselves would say, “We are members, but we don’t take it this seriously — why do you?” That made me curious.
So I started researching. Most people opposing the DMK kept repeating the same accusations — “katta panchayat,” “rowdyism,” and “corruption.” But when asked for proof, they would say “scientific corruption” without ever clearly proving it.
On the other hand, when we look at governance, DMK has implemented many schemes that have benefited millions of people directly and indirectly.
Coming to our leader, @mkstalin — even at this age, he continues to work actively on the ground. His inclusive approach and dedication genuinely stand out. Personally, I feel that even at 50+, it would be difficult for many to match that level of energy and commitment.
I trust you, and I believe in you. I hope the people of Tamil Nadu will also believe in you.
I may not be there in person during elections, but I will speak to as many people as I can and encourage them to vote for you.
Done deal 🤝

@sekartweets Nee yaaru da love day class edukurathuku. Poi unga anil kitta pesu ipudi.
Note - I am not talking about this shanthanu incident. I am talking general things.
Ada Domaru George, there was a protocol, yes. But unlike your leader and your so-called "dummy CM," they didn't run or hide. They protested openly, accepted arrest, and stood by their political stand. No one cried or played the victim.
So keep crying if you want. This is DMK. Next time, permission or not, they'll protest for people's issues, and if the government wants to arrest them, that's their choice. Protest doesn't stop because of fear.
Done and dusted.
The DMK student wing's protest was rejected by Chennai Police because they applied for permission just 24 hours before instead of the mandatory 5 days.
The same party that imposed strict rules on CM Vijay's election campaign — rules he followed without a single violation — couldn't follow basic protest rules themselves.
This is called Karma, former CM Stalin.
@Tweetaalar True. The DMK's priority should be to strengthen its own grassroots minority leadership while continuing to honour alliance commitments. Representation should come from leadership, credibility, and public service - not just electoral arithmetic.
Post-election, I actually see this as an opportunity for the DMK rather than a setback.
Most of the alliance parties had already lost a significant share of their vote base to TVK before the election. Their leaders joining TVK is only the formal announcement of a shift that had already happened among sections of their voters. Realistically, DMK may lose only around 1-2% of loyal alliance votes.
Instead of worrying about alliance arithmetic, the focus should now be on rebuilding the party from the ground up.
The priority should be:
• Strengthen booth committees and local cadres.
• Appoint leaders who are visible among the people and work throughout the year.
• Remove district secretaries and functionaries who treat the party as a private fiefdom and are interested only in posts, MLA tickets or ministerial positions.
• Reward grassroots workers over political landlords ("pannaiyars").
If some leaders leave for TVK because they lose their positions, let them. A stronger organisational structure is worth far more than leaders who stay only for power.
A disciplined, cadre-driven DMK with a stronger grassroots network can easily compensate for the small percentage of alliance votes it may lose. In the long run, organisational strength matters more than depending on parties whose electoral base has already weakened.
For me, this is the right time for the DMK to become stronger on its own rather than relying on alliance partners.

DMK will not find it tough without alliance partners like Congress , VCK , IUML or MDMK who have already lost their base to Vijay !
IUML and MDMK have no base in Tamilnadu ! The Congress and VCK votes did not transfer to DMK in constituencies where VCK did not contest ! Thiruma himself accepted this after the election results !
Only party the DMK might miss would be the CPI/ CPIM in certain pockets in Tamilnadu ! Reason - Their votes actually transfer in whichever alliance they are in !
Post elections , and reading from Thirumas own interactions to the press two things are clear !
1. Thiruma and the VCK were the durandhars who were in touch with the TVK camp all the while !
2. The toolkit given by TVK to Thiruma in exchange of a ministerial berth was clear - Defame the DMK with whatever lies he can come up with !
This is actually extremely good for the DMK !
The DMK lost its OBC core vote bank in the north districts , largely due to the VCK and its kangaroo court activities in the north districts !
The VCK went to the TVK alliance to ensure their kangaroo court activities happen uninterrupted - That is the primary source of revenue to that party !
This will alienate the OBC vote bank of the TVK , and bring them back to the DMK !
The DMK has a strong Dalit vote bank even without the VCK !
As far as IUML , MDMK and the Congress are concerned ! Elections will teach TVK how useless these parties are !
Only good party the TVK have on their side are the communists in certain pockets !
Rest are useless and a burden !
Elections will teach the TVK 🤷♂️
It is finally advantage DMK if they go alone !
