@ipb Although, after recently deep driving into floppy drive head alignment, I could see a world where you can recover data by forcing the read head out of position fractionally using some custom firmware on the drive etc

@ipb I'll usually run a single pass zero or random data wipe on any disk I'm shedding. My understanding is to recover anything after that you need relatively specialist magnetic level recovery shizzle, no?

@leet_harris @dhh I think this is a system integration problem. I've had two surface pro devices now and just treat them like a tablet. The battery budget stuff just works.
