DFS has failed on fairness, transparency, and respect.
@DFS_India may argue before @LabourMinistry@CLCMOLE that, as per the bipartite settlement, PLI has been released only up to Scale III.
But selective interpretation today can become selective expansion can release scale IV and above any day.
If DFS believes this is smart strategy, unions must respond smarter.
Start in-house protest now: ✔ Work-to-rule
✔ No work beyond office hours
✔ No unpaid extra responsibility.
No salary loss.
No unnecessary confrontation.
Restore dignity.
Restore work-life balance.
Enough is enough.

A better banking experience starts with a sustainable workweek. With acute staff shortages and mounting stress, 5-day banking is about public service and employee well-being, not a privilege.
UFBU has been pressing since 2015; IBA has already recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024) records the Saturday holiday clause, pending approvals/clearances.
Honour what’s on record. Approve all Saturdays off.

A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.

🚨 HDFC ERGO x Apple Scam? 🚨
A thread on how thousands of customers got scammed under the "India Gets Moving" campaign by Zopper, Apple, and HDFC Ergo.
🧵 Read more in details & discussions on TF Community 👇
https://t.co/TbG1mrsyVQ
1️⃣ The Campaign:
In Nov 2024, Zopper launched "India Gets Moving" with Apple & HDFC Ergo. Customers who bought an Apple Watch & walked 15,000 steps daily were promised a 100% cashback of the watch's invoice value.
2️⃣ The Catch:
People bought Apple Watches expecting cashback. Many completed their daily steps & accumulated points. But when they claimed the cash reward in Jan 2025, their claims were rejected by HDFC Ergo.
3️⃣ Mass Rejections:
HDFC Ergo denied most claims, citing step count manipulation—claiming users gave watches to others or used tools to fake steps. No proof was provided, and genuine walkers also faced rejection.
4️⃣ Community Impact:
Many in TF Community who played fair had their claims denied & insurance canceled. Some even provided GPS & heart rate data to prove authenticity, but HDFC Ergo refused to reconsider.
5️⃣ Financial Burden:
Many stretched their finances to buy an Apple Watch, believing in HDFC Ergo’s promise. Now, they are stuck with no cashback, rejected claims, and financial stress.
6️⃣ HDFC Ergo’s Silence:
Customers are emailing & tweeting, but HDFC Ergo isn’t responding properly. Seems like they never expected so many people would actually complete the step challenge.
7️⃣ What You Can Do:
✔️ Email HDFC Ergo for clarification.
✔️ File a complaint with IRDAI:
Via portal https://t.co/gJFv5FaKqG or via email: [email protected]
✔️ Spread Awareness! Share this thread to make Apple & HDFC Ergo accountable!
Final Thought:
This campaign feels like a scam—a marketing gimmick. Will Apple respond? Will HDFC Ergo pay up?

SBI Card Violating RBI Guidelines - Card Activated & Reported to CIBIL Before Activation
[One of our TF Community members shared their issue with SBI Card. Full details and discussion are available on TF Community; link in the first comment.]
Vivian, a TF Community member, was mis-sold an SBI Elite Credit Card by an agent. He was promised a lifetime free (LTF) card, but it turned out to be a paid card. Upon realizing this, Vivian escalated the issue to the SBI Card grievance team, but they didn’t assist.
In the meantime, the first statement was generated and reported to CIBIL. Vivian assumed the card would be closed after 30 days if he didn’t activate it, in line with RBI guidelines. He approached the Nodal Officer and Customer Service Head, sending proof, including call recordings, but still received no help.
Since he hadn’t paid the joining fee, SBI Card reported a late payment to CIBIL even though the card was never activated. Vivian filed a complaint with the RBI, and SBI Card requested more time to resolve the issue, asking for the complaint to be closed, citing a 30-day resolution requirement.
Meanwhile, Vivian paid the bill and requested that SBI Card remove the late payment entry from his CIBIL report. However, SBI Card refused to convert the card to LTF and declined to remove the late payment report. The RBI Banking Ombudsman (BO) accepted SBI's explanation and closed the complaint. Afterward, SBI continued to refuse to address the issues.
Vivian then filed another complaint with the RBI BO on May 27, 2024. Over 100 days later, the complaint is still unresolved. Vivian sends monthly reminders by opening new complaints, which are closed, citing that the original complaint is still being processed.
SBI Card has not acknowledged any of the following RBI guideline violations:
1. Activation without customer consent
2. Charging a joining fee before activation
3. Reporting late payment for a non-activated account to CIBIL
4. Refusing to remove incorrect reports from CIBIL within 30 days, along with a 2x penalty for the credit card issuer
One Assistant Manager from the SBI Card Nodal Officer’s desk, with 17 years of experience, even claimed she was unaware of such RBI guidelines, denying any violations.
Vivian’s experience highlights the inefficiency of the RBI ombudsman scheme, which seems increasingly ineffective. It’s high time the @RBI takes strict action to ensure card issuers are following guidelines to protect customers' rights.
