@AlanaDLevin It’s not clear to me what existing problem in affiliate marketing that this would solve (for each key stakeholder: brand->affiliate->consumer). Could you elaborate on that?
@NetFort20five@spencernoon Not really - the US is one nation made up of different states/regions. In that sense it is more similar to a country like Spain than to Europe as a whole.
I think there’s great diversity both among states in the US and countries in Europe.
@chaserchapman One (big) missing piece is front-ends that abstract away a lot of the complexities around governance, comp etc. With more user friendly ’operating systems’ that convey the value of DAO’s _intuitively_, DAO’s will thrive and we’ll see hockeystick growth/adoption.
@DionysusCrypto@spencernoon Was running out of characters - never knew the term was specific to a subset of the US. Learned something new today. Fingers crossed @spencernoon did too!
@Justin_Bons @tweeterholmes 2) Why do you disagree with deterministic fees being an advantage?
3) I think you should review the scalability roadmap for Cardano as a whole rather than focus arbitrarily on TPS. Everything is contextual - would you evaluate Ethereum without factoring in the merge?
So the primary criticism is that Cardano writes software carefully when billions of dollars are at stake from millions of users and thousands of businesses rely upon the infrastructure for their livelihood? I'd love to see these guys build a hospital.
Certainly didn't like some of their content, but they have a right to make it. I'm sad to see censorship happen and it's yet another example why crypto is necessary
@RyanSAdams Charles also did not incite anyone to attack you. Unless I'm missing something here, he asked the community for a montage. Why would you make claims like this that are so easily disproven?
@RyanSAdams THAT SAID, it was big of you to even entertain the notion of having Hosk on your show. Under the surface of tribalism, who-said-what and ego, you both actually share many similar ideas.
@RyanSAdams I don't get why you wouldn't just own up to the fact that Bankless has pissed on Cardano. David definitely stood for most of the vitriol, but it is a show you co-host, and pretending it never happened whilst passing moral judgement on the Cardano community comes off a bit weird.
@chaserchapman Isn’t there a case to make though for highly systematized DAO’s as another type of experiment to pursue? seems like too many right now are eager to compromise on ’code is law’ in order to appropriate DAO-mania as a method to disrupt legacy orgs..
@svpino@chaserchapman The reason a lot of DAO’s optimize for members early on is not necessarily to get more contributors, but rather to create hype / get token holders. That said, I agree that it isn’t necessarily a great priority.
@chaserchapman We should find ways of leveraging knowledge that is already obvious from meatspace/companies.
This is one of those things: narrative, clear roles and stakeholder alignment are key to success. DAO’s are still organizations with people in them aspiring to accomplish something..
