@PoorQuentyn I think he makes up for that with physical acting in the fight scenes. I don't know if many other leading men could have pulled off the sort of moves he does in the first two movies, swinging around bellowing guttaral battlecries and baring his weird long middle-aged-guy teeth

@riseupcomus@SandyofCthulhu Well, one of the advantages in CoC is to raise tension in advance of danger- pass the check and prepare for peril or avoid it entirely, or fail it and the table enjoys a tense moment before the other shoe drops.
You're right though, gating clues behind them can be a game-ruiner
