The Spurs may have lost the Finals, but they won hearts. ❤️
Days after the defeat, Victor Wembanyama and Julian Champagnie visited children at a San Antonio hospital, bringing smiles to young patients and showing their impact goes far beyond basketball.
Mitch Johnson had a powerful message to the fanbase after losing the NBA Finals:
"I’m glad that they’re sad. I’m glad that they get mad when we lose or want us to be better, that’s a part of being a fan. And the support, and we feel the love and the support from everybody in the 210 and across the world, we have the best fans in the world. And again, we’ve been at it for nine months, we wanted to win this series like the other ones and we didn't, and we’ll be just the same people. We’re not going to flinch, blink, waver. We’ll be here until whenever we get the schedule out and figure out our next game and we’ll be, we’ll be better."
And of course, congratulations to Mitch, coaching staff, players, and the entire Spurs organization on a wonderful season! So proud of what this team accomplished!
There’s so much to be excited about as @Spurs fans!
Let’s celebrate this special group and keep building towards winning the next one and many more! 💪
Victor Wembanyama (22 years, 155 days) and Stephon Castle (21 years, 219 days) are the youngest duo (by average age) in NBA history to score 20+ points each in a Finals game 🔥
