A complete bloodbath of innocent community dogs in Khalsa College, Amritsar, Punjab. Blood-splattered walls and severe torture, all under the guise of an "elimination drive." This is a severe criminal offense under the PCA Act!
Just hours after the recent Supreme Court order, innocent dogs appear to have become targets. The dog in the last photo was alive when these pictures were taken. We do not know if he survived. We do not know how many others suffered.
We demand an immediate FIR and an unbiased investigation into the college authorities and handlers. @cpamritsar@AmritsarRPolice you must arrest those responsible for this massacre! @BhagwantMann@ArvindKejriwal
I have formally written to the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India regarding Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann public mischaracterisation of the Supreme Court’s order on stray dogs.
The SC order permits action only in specific legally defined cases involving rabid, incurably ill, or demonstrably dangerous dogs after veterinary assessment and under law.
It does NOT authorize a blanket mass elimination campaign.
Darubaaz @BhagwantMann
The Supreme Court did not authorize a blanket “eliminate stray dogs” campaign.
The order clearly applies only to rabid, incurably ill, or demonstrably dangerous aggressive dogs, after assessment by qualified veterinary experts and strictly under the PCA Act and ABC Rules 2023.
Twisting a Supreme Court order into justification for mass killing of dogs is blatant misinformation. Shame.
Eliminate? Is this poor choice of words or naked intent?
SC order in no way allows anyone to eliminate strays. Even for rabid dogs procedure has to be followed.
I hope SC/HC takes note of this.
SUMMARIZATION OF TODAY'S VERDICT!- ITS A PARTIAL WIN FOR STRAY DOGS!! DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO DOG HATERS. 😆🤣🤣🤣
The Supreme Court stray dog case was mainly about balancing public safety and animal welfare after rising dog-bite and rabies incidents, especially involving children in Delhi-NCR. The Court took suo motu cognisance after reports highlighted increasing attacks and deaths linked to rabies.
Here’s the key summary about the dogs:
1. The Court initially ordered that stray dogs picked up from streets in Delhi-NCR should be moved to shelters and not released back. This triggered massive backlash from animal welfare groups, feeders, NGOs, and activists.
2. Later, a larger 3-judge bench modified that order and said: Sterilised, vaccinated, and dewormed stray dogs must be released back to the same locality they came from, as required under Animal Birth Control (ABC) Rules.
3. Dogs that are rabid, suspected to have rabies, or display genuinely aggressive behaviour should not be released back onto the streets.
4. The Court acknowledged that the earlier blanket “no release” order was “too harsh” and inconsistent with existing animal welfare law.
5. It also emphasized that authorities had failed for years to properly implement sterilisation, vaccination, waste management, and ABC programs, which worsened the stray dog situation.
6. The judgment tried to strike a middle path: Protect people, especially children and vulnerable citizens.
But also prevent cruelty and illegal mass removal of community dogs.
The Court further suggested:designated feeding zones,
stronger sterilisation drives,
better shelters,
municipal accountability,
and a national stray dog management policy.

@ndtv@nupurdogra@divyawadhwa Such irresponsible reporting! Please read the court’s order first. There’s no such statement by the SC ordering removal of street dogs from streets.
A stray dog saves the lives of 30 children
This is what paid media won’t tell you.
In Dhirikula village of Mayurbhanj, Odisha, a stray dog named Kali gave her life to save more than 30 school children. A poisonous snake was crawling toward children sitting outside their school. Kali sensed the danger and attacked the snake immediately. She killed it — but the snake bit her during the fight. She died soon after.
Villagers performed her last rites and called her the protector of their children.
While television studios and agenda-driven “experts” keep screaming about a so-called dog menace, they never show stories like this — because heroism from a stray dog doesn’t fit their nefarious dog hate propaganda.
A street dog saw danger, acted instantly, and died protecting human children.
In the meantime the so called humans are burning alive puppies

Hello @DelhiAirport Tum old videos ka AI compilation bana ke share kar rahe ho. Jaanwaron ke saath to Politics matt karo. Mahadev ke keher se Daro. Bachne ka mauqa nahin milega. Btw where are Kaddu and Dholu? They are not in your AI compilation also.
It is tragic to see top scientific minds at @DRDO_India Balasore ignoring the law. Relocating street dogs is illegal and futile.
Science should lead with empathy. @DRDO_India Balasores plan to Relocate street dogs is a violation of
ABC rules.
The only legal & effective way is CNVR (Catch-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release). Stop the Relocation Campaign now.

The state of this lion at the Assam State Zoo is a national shame. Skeletal, weak, and barely moving, this is institutionalized neglect, not CARE.
We cannot look away. This is the reality of many animals behind bars. Watching this king of the forest reduced to such a pathetic state is a stark reminder of why we must fight for stricter zoo regulations and better oversight. No animal deserves to starve in a cage.
How does an animal under INSTITUTIONAL CARE reach this level of emaciation? We need immediate answers and an independent medical evaluation of this lion.
Is this chronic neglect?
Lack of nutrition?
An untreated illness?
The authorities at Assam State Zoo must be held accountable. Silence is not an option.

Hello @DelhiAirport this video has footage of Kaddu the airport not being aggressive, extremely calm and peaceful. Do you guys have basic empathy and the sense of coexistence? I have shown footage of the dog being calm, can you show footage of this dog being aggressive ?
Meet Mr. Sharma, a driver with Himachal Roadways, whose compassion travels with him on every journey.
Despite the long hours and demanding nature of his job, he never forgets to carry extra food for roadside community dogs and puppies. Every day, without fail, he stops to feed them quietly, selflessly, without seeking attention. ❤️
Over time, something beautiful has happened…
These little souls now recognize not just him, but even the bus he drives. They wait for him. They trust him. They run towards hope the moment they see that familiar sight.
In a world rushing endlessly, Mr. Sharma reminds us that kindness doesn’t need convenience, time, or wealth only intent.
Compassion is not about doing big things occasionally. It is about doing small things consistently, even when life is busy. If a man with such a demanding job can make space for kindness, so can we.
Be like Mr. Sharma. Feed, care, and respect these voiceless beings.

For all the people who claim India is losing tourists because of dogs, thailand cares for its community dogs and get 50x more tourists
Also has double of India's per capita income
India is losing tourists because we treat tourists like money bags and do not care about their experience
A heartwarming moment was seen on Kothad Container Road in Kochi, Kerala, where a boy on a scooty stopped to help a disabled dog cross the road safely.
His simple act of kindness has touched many hearts, reminding people that humanity still exists. ❤️🐾

#WATCH | Animal rights activist and brother of Akhilesh Yadav, Prateek Yadav, says, "I would like to request the Supreme Court that they should not give any inhumane judgement. Dogs are a part of society...This is cruel because dogs are social animals. They cannot live in confinement. It is not feasible for the Govt because such manpower and space for shelter homes are not possible. Instead of that, if we work on animal birth control, their population can be brought down in the next 10 days. That is what the Govt should do, work on animal birth control - not on confinement..."
